STORY
Around the same time Morris Industries was developing, another one started to grow as well. Lucky Clover Airlines was an extremely young company when Morris Industries released the M-2 passenger plane. (See predecessor for more details about the M-2’s history). The first aircraft Lucky Clover Airlines produced was the 112-550. it was a mid range midsize plane, capable of carrying 69 passengers. It could take off on moderately short runways, which made it a good choice for airlines that did not have huge runways. When Lucky Clover Airlines became one year old, 2 1/2 thousand 112-550s have been sold. However, customers were complaining about Lucky Clover Airlines not having a cargo plane. Meanwhile, Morris Industries was doing fantastic with the M-2 passenger plane. So Lucky Clover Airlines asked Morris Industries for the basic design of the M-2. Morris Industries sold the basic design to Lucky Clover Airlines for $10 million. Here are the modifications that Lucky Clover Airlines did to the M-2.
One. An increased propeller blade count. The propeller blade count went up from 3 to 4 for additional thrust.
Two. Removed seats and windows. This one is pretty self-explanatory.
Three. A larger door. The door at the front of the plane was larger for easier cargo storage.
In all, Lucky Clover Airlines and Morris Industries both were successful. Even though both of them never got huge fame, they were happy with what they got.
PERFORMANCE
The M-2 200 cargo is a high-performance cargo aircraft that can carry a hefty load of over 50 tons, and it only needs a medium size to runway to takeoff. Even with 50 tons of cargo!
