Description
The Essex Class Aircraft Carrier is the most constructed capital ship of the 20th century, and the most numerous class of United States Aircraft Carrier. Of the 24 completed Essex class carriers, 14 would see active combat. Notable Essex class ships include the USS Yorktown (CV-10), USS Hornet (CV-12), and USS Lexington (CV-16).
The Essex class could carry 90-100 combat aircraft and was equipped with the same guns as the Allen M. Sumner / Fletcher class destroyers in addition to smaller caliber Anti Aircraft armaments.
My attempts to keep the part count low were in vain, but I hope you are able to play the ship with at least one plane! Carrier landing is fun, just be sure to have the ship sailing at a minimum of 8m/s, and sail it to its maximum 16m/s for easy landing.
There is a part labeled "AircraftUnlock", delete this part/disable all of its connections in order for you to move the aircraft in-game, or just delete the block with all attachments to remove all of the aircraft.
