Auto Credit Based on IntegratedSpaceSystems's Resizing a fairing displaces it from the attatchment point
When lengthening the fairing it does not stay attatched to the contact point on the fuel tank, so I clicked and dragged it back onto the fuel tank. The fairing then snapped to the smaller diameter I didn't want. As opposed to manually adjusting the diameter I just hit the undo button and it left this pink artifact where the fairing was.
