Though there have been suggestions of having 'Juno' in the name, I'm thinking that might not be best since with Planet Studio, people can make other Systems.
Thanks for the Challenge, it really exposed great builders to appreciation and also thanks for the great work you guys put in being such a small team. I have reservations though on how commenting about craft details is done. You guys must understand how hard it is to even make a decent looking craft-it takes loads and loads of time, almost impossible to live an effective work-life balanced life making intricate perfect crafts really, it's like all your spare time is devoted to such😂. So I have great appreciation for crafts even if they have part clipping and such, it takes much time to build decent looking functional crafts, really it does.
Awesome 😎, absolutely. What device do you use to make these crafts though? 😂.
I hope one day I'll be able to afford a device to use one of your crafts 😂. And that Space port, totally awesome.
Good luck and Godspeed Foxtrot. Wishing you good fortunes in your endeavors. Stay safe. Till we see you back again, we'll be waiting eagerly for your return to the community. May you Live long and Prosper.🖖
@Luckwut Thanks so much. Pedro helped out earlier with the info. I really hope they find a way of putting this info somehow in-game so that people don't have to struggle to look up the info elsewhere. I earlier thought that perhaps you could Teleport via translation keeping your AGL/ASL and when targeting a craft though you could choose how far from it you'll be, not how high above it, because if you teleport to above a craft, gravity prevails, the teleported craft falls on the target craft, then damages it. I guess it was mostly meant for in orbit teleportation rather than on the ground/sea teleportation.
Hie there SST. I totally understand your situation, I'm an African. Read through the whole thing. I understand at times we do regretful things when young and don't think things through completely. Don't let it get you down, but just try to learn from it. Wishing you all the best, Hoping all goes well for you. Things will look up. Stay blessed.
Awesome, many thanks🙏🏿. Realized the peak in performance on my phone as well, which is an entry level phone. Thanks. I hope to see one day a game that includes the best of JNO and SP in one😁.
@Chtite451SR2 Thanks, had not realised. Noted about the reply button. It's just been a long day at work, so I'm a bit foggy in the mind 😂. Really thanks.
@seventeen Thanks, I really appreciate the response. Had settled for Humble a few hours ago since it was cheaper by a few dollars. The few dollars do however count considering where I come from and how difficult it is to buy something online. The wait had become too much, was really pressed for time.
But I got a Steam Key that I used to install Simple Rockets with and I hope it will allow me to access updates on time. My PC is a bit slow but I'm enjoying exploring so far.
Really thanks again.
To Sir @pedro16797. Just wanted to ask if we'll be able to keep our custom made structures/bases with the upcoming career mode or if preference will be made to use the default Droo bases 😊
@JSO18 Made me remember a certain time I pulled a Droonaut/Pilot from a craft on a Sub-orbital trajectory with a very high maximum altitude in the order of some hundreds or potentially a thousand kilometers, and allowed the Droonaut to go in free fall and got through the atmosphere without damage and managed to land on the ground with no explosion whatsoever 😂. This has made me regard the Droonaut as a Cyborg/Robot rather than an actual unenhanced human.😊
@Staticalliam7 It might be that. But also, the atmosphere settings as well. In Planet Studio though, the Droo gravity is close to that of Earth, but I guess it might be the way the physics is simulated I guess.
I tried also deorbiting the same tank from low orbit in RSS Earth, and it produced results that were expected. But realised from Planet Studio that the daytime and night time temperatures were set quite high, at about over 300K, which would translate to, for instance, a day time temperature of about 56°C. Now I live in a warm-hot region being in Africa. It does get hot, but average temperatures do not go that high up.
"... then the humans with time learned to live with one another in hamony and agreed amongst themselves never to exploit the less advantaged for profit. They however continued to thirst for more knowledge and learned to become a sustainable Space-faring civilisation, intent on exploration and seeking discovery, mainly looking towards encountering other intelligent life forms to learn more from them and to learn for life to advance and grow sustainably without exhausting resources, hoping to eventually evolve into having the capability to live beyond the aging cosmos.
Legend has it, that, eventually, using their advancing knowledge and technology in their exploration and seeking discovery, they discovered the star Juno and its planetary system and remarked at how similar it was to their own home system. However, like in their previous other discoveries, couldn't find the intelligent life they thought they'd find. They went on to find particular interest in the planet that would eventually be the Droo we know, then a planet with pockets of land and liquid water, being in what they deemed a habitable zone in Juno's sphere of influence. They brought to it's surface various technologies that were essentially the seeds of life, to expand it's biomes to better support life. They helped set up the very first colonies on Droo from volunteers. After some time, they realised that the Droo colonies could support themselves on their own and insisted that these colonies continue on the path of discovery and exploration, striving to make their own mark and start their own history, disconnected from their own violent and wrongs of their own and ancestors'past.
The humans vowed to move on and not interfere unless absolutely necessary, continuing their legacy of seeking exploration, and discovery, continuing their own advancement and hopeful evolution. They discretely plant and help sustain life on potentially habitable planets, throughout the cosmos, continuing their original search for other intelligent forms of life, without intention of interfering destructively with life that had started on it's own, but only seeking to know it more and learn from it.
Their story serves to teach us how much we can achieve only by leaving our fears and enmities with others behind."
Hie there. Realised too that making too much detailed crafts would take too much time and take away the fun from playing the game. Now focussing on basic crafts.
@HORIZONSPACEUK The Devs work hard to bring us all these developments. Be nice. Some of us have been here for quite a while. The game has significantly improved.
@Activatewindows It actually is. It can be accessed through the settings. On opening settings, you go to Open Dev Console and type Planet Studio then tap on Execute. Dozens of planets have been
created on mobile actually. Check some out from uploaded content. I've actually added structures to Droo using mobile. Took a while, but it got the job done. You can check it out from my published posts:
I understand though if by your point you mean to say that it isn't fully supported or optimized for Mobile. Either way, it used to allow for replacement of planets without loosing moons. Also, even the PC version won't allow for that as well. So in any case, seems Planet Studio got issues.
@LunarArc Hahaha, is it?😂. Will have to look it up via Google Search to see😂. But yeah, it's kinda sad that saw a number of some mildly popular KSP YouTubers exploring the game and some haven't really explored SR2/JNO yet. At one moment seemed like Ellipse was getting more traction amongst KSP centric YouTubers as a great mobile Rocket Simulator. I don't want to say it but seems really like it's kinda like some form of SR2/JNO rip-off, in a way🙈, I'm not really saying it is though😂, but kinda like seems like it😂.
@InfinityTechnology That's awesome, really it is. Always a pleasure seeing these awesome crafts you make. Can't run them on my low end device but really is a pleasure seeing the build up process and videos of your crafts running.
@KirRu You're awesome, All the best 👍🏿☺️

+2 1.4 years ago@FunkPunk I like the Simple Space suggestion, sounds appropriate.😊
+2 2.5 years agoI'm kinda attached to the SR2 name.
But truth be told, it's no longer just a rocket building sim anymore.
I like it to either stay Simple Rockets or Simple Aerospace
Or Juno Space Program (JSP) (I'm kidding about this one 😂) or SR3 (kidding again😁).
