This first update will be only available for Steam on the experimental branch. To join the Steam beta right-click SimpleRockets 2 in the Steam client -> Properties -> Betas -> and then select experimental from the dropdown. Make sure to backup your local files, this is in the experimental branch for a reason, theres a decent chance of old crafts breaking, so be careful.
Once we have fixed all the bugs (I'm sure some will come up with how many things we changed this time) we will move to a non experimental beta. The mobile beta will be released no earlier than May 4th.
@Toinkove We got the formula from this paper's section 2.3, the equation is 2.3.1. Looking at the only real comparison I could find, the rutherford engine, which has a thrust close to what you mention, uses 37kW, which in turn would need a 2.16MJ battery, so if that wikipedia article is correct we are way off! I'll look further into this soon, thanks for the headsup
@JustBru that bug is fixed, but there are additional problems with the mod. Mario (who made the models and maintained the mod) lost all the original files, we are still studying how to fix it
Join the iOS beta here and the Google Play beta here. Join the Steam beta by right-clicking SimpleRockets 2 in the Steam client -> Properties -> Betas -> and then select "beta - Public Testing" from the dropdown.
@Mikel8 this coming week we'll release an update that fixes most of what you commented, but could you explain what happened with your funks? And could you make a bug report with the craft that is spinning with the parachutes?
@XionmassResearchDevt It's funny to see you comment such a thing on an update focusing on bringing what the community wanted to the game. And btw, even if you don't share things, I'm glad to hear you still play and enjoy the game. Your opinion is as valid as everyone else opinions, this is a post to comment what is being added, if you feel like the game is lacking something you can see if it was already suggested here and if not, suggest it yourself. With enough backing and if we think it fits the game, we will sure consider adding it.
There's a known issue with the wheels and landing legs, the torque values are rounded with no digits, it will be fixed in the next update, sorry for that.
@simpleaerospace we aren't removing the tinker panel! We love the sandbox nature of the game and we are even adding new features to it, but we are disabling it for career mode, so it shouldn't be a necessary tool, just an option for people to break the game at their will to have some fun.

For those that may wonder, localization is a technique that would allow us to translate the game to other languages, and for the community to make their own translations for their own if they aren't included or for fun (I've always enjoyed playing Minecraft with the Pirate language).
.
It's been something I've been asking for for a long time and @HellFireKoder has been doing an amazing job at it, that was paused to help with SPVR. Things are looking great so far but the game has far more text than we thought (who would have thought we had so many tooltips and descriptions!). I'm hopeful for this to be a gamechanger, opening the game to a larger community of space enthusiasts from all over the world :)
@GLaDOSpOrtal22 because it takes time to do it and I already have stuff to do, if these things sell well I'm sure we'll find the resources to make some more products in the future
@SupremeDorian it's an actual Drood! Just rigged in blender to take that pose (did something similar for the Lost in Luna design), and it's not a Mage Engine.
Btw, a couple notes on what you sent: The iterative renderer (and the entire vizzy script) is by @Insanity and the lambda in sflanker's book is a reference to Lisp, one of his obsessions.
First of all, whete I'm from carrying a gun is not a right, it gets you into prison, no idea what the 2nd amendment has to do with this.
.
2nd, this is a discussion i'd like to see happening, but not coming from you. You keep acting like you are a victim and part of the solution, when you have been one of the main problems in this situation. Your behaviour and some of your comments are unacceptable.
.
Please stop this unnecessary drama.
@DennisLoboGames no, it's not my decision, moderators make the decision. If you didn't submit in time, the submission has been closed for almost a week now sadly, sorry
@FelixFan1 the devs are the ones to contact, but not through comments, you can report bugs from the game and we will look at them with access to the craft, sandbox, and logs, so we can actually study the problem.
If you don't see what's wrong with your attitude you should reconsider how you behave in society, saying a moderator "nobody is asking you" when you are being warned is not acceptable behavior.
@FelixFan1 bte, I just saw your latest comments and you have been causing a lot of trouble, you should reconsider your attitude and how you talk to others, specially moderators, if you want to stay in this platform.
@crowxe if you experience a bug, please report it, otherwise we won't be able to do anything about it.
+1 2.6 years ago@bspawn The exhaust coming from the top is partially touching those engines, making them glow
2.6 years ago@AstroAerospace how are they broken? The wing snap should be disabled by default on existing planes

2.7 years ago@Zenithspeed they came out earlier today
2.7 years ago@TRAPPIST1 it would look ok both in map view and from far away, the only problem is the atmosphere
2.7 years ago@plane918273645 I'm pinning this in mods, to ease finding all the info we have
2.7 years ago@Toinkove We got the formula from this paper's section 2.3, the equation is 2.3.1. +1 2.7 years ago@FalconAero we were hoping to get it out for friday but we found a couple things that needed some polishing
+2 2.7 years ago@Matteovir that one has already been reported and it will be fixed on 905
2.7 years ago@Tucanchicky we released it one day early, it's on the beta versions of the game both on Android and iOS
+2 2.7 years ago@JustBru that bug is fixed, but there are additional problems with the mod. Mario (who made the models and maintained the mod) lost all the original files, we are still studying how to fix it
2.7 years ago@String8263963429 as I said, some things may be broken and may be lost if you try to go back to a previous version of the game.
2.7 years ago@String8263963429 this is a beta, and thus some things may be broken

@GG228 it should first deplete all the fuel and then keep running when the tanks are all empty
+1 2.8 years agoPlease, make a proper bug report.
2.8 years ago@InfinitySpaceAgency you got a ton of warnings and we decided to ban you because of how you insulted and mistreated others.
