Eiderius

Eiderius is an interesting cold desert world of the strellius system. It boasts quite a mountainous landscape consisting mainly of convex mountains (abruptly convex). Due to it not being so cold, having beautiful rings and 2 moons, Eiderland and Eider, this world is currently undergoing colonization and is a colony world for now. Scientists estimate that Eiderius's abruptly convex slopes werent caused by severe quakes but rather by rough waves, hence causing heavy erosion. We arent too sure why, but Eiderius once had an ocean (proof found in frozen underground aquifiers and some surface ice), however the motion of the water oceans had caused immense erosion causing large landforms such as continents to shrink, there are 2 theories on why, with the 1st one being that Eiderius never had a stable core and tectonic activity was rather high during its early hence causing tsunamis and severe underwater currents causing underwater erosion as well, this theory isnt as plausable as Eiderius's age is still being determined. Theory 2 states that Eiderius is actually a foreign world, originating in a system far away, where it had another theoretical moon (Deemed Eidor) which tugged on it hence causing it to spin faster hence causing high oceanic activity, causing quick erosian before eidor soon becoming its rings. Its then theorised it was slingshot out and captured by a single star, where its oceans thawed, however it then became a hot desert world and the water oceans had evaporated, it possibly suffered several impacts thinning its atmosphere hence causing a significant lack of water nowadays, its theorised that it was then slingshot by a rogue world info fhe modern stellius system, this theory is widely accepted as the known water amount wouldnt be enough to cover Eiderius at even 0.1-1cm in depth, and this data was from heavy exploration.
