Mortan is a star only slightly smaller than the sun, with an interesting trait: it is the first star discovered to have completely opposite colors (blue and red), being classified with a spectral designation AM-G1V. It is suggested to be a fusion of two previous similarly sized stars. Its appearance is similar to A and M type stars, while it's temperature is around that of G-type stars. And although not as dense as some other main sequence stars, it has extremely high metallicity allowing for an absurd amount of celestial bodies in its rich planetary system, something that wouldn't make the Mortan System feel out of place from a fantasy science-fiction story.
Mortan has the traits of both high heat and low-heat stars, featuring the high heat (allowing for planets to not be tidally locked) of the latter and the long lifespan of the former. Due to this, there is a comically small hot zone, a large habitable zone in which there are several habitable planets, and a cold zone of intermediate size between those.
