Thatolon

Thatolon isnt your typical ice world, Thatolon in fact has quite a lot of metals as it seems that rather than being mostly composed of ice, (like most known ice worlds) it in fact has a rocky terrestrial crust underneath its thick ice sheet (3.142 eiffel towers thick to be prescise!). Scientists theorise that it may have been heavily bombarded by large ice crystals during early formation in the outer belt, however, thanks to other forming worlds (which have most likely been slingshot out or obliterated due to the chaos within the forming system) its orbit had been tampered with causing it to go into the near outskirts of the system causing it to collide with various ice crystals and capture its 2 moons which were formerly dwarf planets. After 2 billion years, it has somewhat cooled down and its orbit was temporarily within the habitable zone , this caused all the water vapour to finally rain on its surface, and its moons ice sheets to melt, making it, and it's moons now water worlds due to the large content of water, scientists dont think live evolved here due to the lack of carbon, acids and other elements needed for life to form, excavation sights are being planned actively in order to see if life may have existed in a way that we dont know yet before we launch large scale mining.Who knows?...maybe life still lurks in the ice sheet
