I want fuel tanks to have an option for you to choose what they're made of, the max temp, weight and cost should also change depending on material, for example, stainless steel will make your fuel tank heavier, more heat-resistant but cheaper and carbon composites will make your fuel tank lighter, less heat-resistant but more expensive

@DrooMulticompany here it even conducts coldness I think

@DrooMulticompany that's why there's copper, its thermal conductivity prevents the heat from getting through

@NovaAerospace if high temperatures get through, the oxygen goes from liquid to gas

@DrooMulticompany did you forget that aerodynamic heating still exists even on takeoff?

@NovaAerospace isn’t thermal conductivity the last thing you want in the fuel tank? Liquid Oxygen has* to be cold to stay liquid!

@DrooMulticompany Space Shuttle, it has good thermal conductivity

@Vedhaspace copper? Since when do rockets use COPPER for fuel tanks?

    Yeah,
    Carbon composite
    Aluminium
    Aluminium lithium alloy
    Copper
    Stainless steel
    Titanium (maybe alloy too)
