Mining?

I was watching kurzgesagt video about mining and got the idea.
For now,there are no actual use of satellites.So we can use satellites to scan planets,moons and asteroids to check the contents of minerals.Which minerals? Which ever are required to make a ship or a rover or a simple part(kinda like eve online?).So you scan the terrain and send a miner with equipment and get it back to our planet and pool resources to make that part.
Tough? I know every player of SR2 wants a challenge.So nothing is tough for them.
