Regarding My Fully Reusable Super Heavy Lift Launch Vehicle Neptune, being honest, I’ve spent almost a month working on just the Vizzy. The craft itself is almost done, I only need to polish it a bit, y’know, clean up the odd thing here and there, fix the occasional bug, etc. But the Vizzy has been draining me so much, I’ve really not been wanting to go out irl. I’ve just been wanting to sleep in lately and have been constantly obsessing over the Vizzy breaking at ridiculous times like 1:30am, and thinking about what I can do to prevent a game-breaking bug. I almost lost the code twice a couple days ago after making a massive change and forgetting to save. After an hour of panicking and anxiety, I got it back. The Auto-Orbit is janky and fragile, it barely works and is a nightmare to manage. I change one thing a little, the whole code line shatters like glass and I have to rewrite several things to balance the change. It’s a nightmare. I know i’m not good at vizzy, but it’s getting so bad, I can’t anymore. One time, I had the code work fine and deliver the craft well to orbit. Satisfied with the outcome, I went to bed. The next morning, I did another flight with the exact same code, completely unchanged, and the rocket pitched fully over way too soon and hotstaged at 20km instead of 80km. I tried it several more times to make sure it wasn’t a one time thing. It didn’t work and I had to fully rewrite the code, even though i hadn’t changed it at all from the previous night. Honestly, It’s just too much.

To conclude, I will be keeping the Automatic launch code, so the rocket will do an automatic launch if the Auto-Launch AG is activated, but after takeoff, control will be handed back to the player. I will keep the Auto-Orbit Vizzy in a separate Vizzy save. I will leave it until I am ready to touch it again. Just to clarify, I will continue developing Neptune and its prototypes, and I will continue developing Nexus, Tsiolkovsky and CyberSpace in general, but until I am ready, I will not be doing complete auto-orbit and booster landing Vizzy. I will keep posting on here as usual, but when I finish Neptune and post it and its variants, they won’t have Auto-Orbit Vizzy.

-Regretfully,

Fyre

Hello friend, you can use one of the existing start programs as a template, e.g. this one here:

    https://www.simplerockets.com/c/yD2xzD/VIZZY-SmartGAP-BETA1

It is programmed very generically and should work quite quickly for you. Just as an idea, you don't always have to reinvent everything.

@deepfriedfrenchtoast k. I’ll load a Neptune with the vizzy and upload it to here as an unlisted post. (bear in mind the vizzy is really bad lol)
