I love how that people are giving negative reviews on SR2 because it’s too “complicated” I mean SR2 isn’t that hard in my opinion. All you need to do is learn the game, and ask for help on the forums. No need to make negative reviews because your too lazy to actually do stuff. There is a tutorial yet, they can’t get past it or something. Or they just already jump straight into action and complain that “oh the game is too complicated. SR1 is better”, which just really irritates me how lazy people can come to when they make lazy reviews. About games that are complicated.
If you can’t make good rockets, maybe download some online or something, or even get a sandbox if you want to visit another planet without doing the work.
Now by no means do I say that all 1 and 2 star reviews are stupid. Criticism is vital for a game’s success, but there is a difference between actual criticism and laziness in game reviews. A good criticism has effort put into it. A lazy review does not. A lazy review has no effort. The reviewer plays the game for like a hour at most. And immediately goes to the reviews section, stating something really stupid such as, “the tutorial doesn’t work”, or something along the lines.
Now lets look at some examples:
(Don't send hate to those listed)
(Also note that these are reviews on ios)
Review #1
" Too Complicated "
"The first game was great. Everything was nearly perfect.
However in the sequel, its just impossible to tell what's going on. It's near impossible to build rockets and near impossible to tell how to get to another planet."
Look at the second sentence. When it says "Near impossible", its just a indication that the reviewer probably didn't play the game for an hour and is already wanting to put a trashy review, hurting the game's reputation.
Review #2
" Horrid controls "
"bad"
Umm, is this even a review? You can't even spell horrid correctly, and you just put one word, without anything to back it up. No idea what you are talking about.
I’m not saying, “do not add tutorials, let the new players suffer”. Because I do fully support more tutorials. We have virtually no tutorials other than basic designing, flying, landing a shuttle, and docking. So I would definitely enjoy more tutorials. I always had trouble making planes that actually fly well. So I would love to see a airplane tutorial. I just want the new players for now not to become lazy and quit the game and post a bad Review.
I’m not trying to be mean or anything about 1 to 3 star reviews, but can we maybe actually try to learn the game and play it for at least eight hours before casting a review.
Be sure to select unhelpful on these garbage reviews, that way, people will realize (hopefully) how terrible these “reviews” are.
TL;DR: Play the game for longer before casting a trashy review.
I might be so lazy, I never bothered to write a review.
hm true
Found this way too late, but definetly agreed.
yes
I think the word you're looking for is "stupid"
I agree with everything you say here
it took me a day to learn the controls it aint that hard
This reminded me of writing one lol.
Did my part and did it. @Chancey21
Whoever thinks SR2 is too complicated didn't play Orbiter Space Flight simulator like I did. That game is just short of a NASA simulator. It's crazy realistic. I transferred to SR2 to get a more arcade-ish feel and easier vehicle building.
I've played the game for some time now ( over 2 weeks before you rant about me) and I still have no clue how to make stuff. I would definitely play the game more if I could learn to make stuff.
I cannot understand what you mean by COLD with people. Please elaborate. On another note, I agree. It’s just 7 year olds on new iPhones with too much money to spend. I mean, why get this game if your not gonna take the time to have fun? I usually just build derpy crap. I made a cargo door fit over a Saturn V with part settings. In other words, take the time to actually play instead if looking for bad things to say. @DPSAircraftManufacturer
I agree to the whole point. Game is hard and requires time investment to fly things but that's good.
I also agree that SR2 really needs explanation on how to use orbit tools (planned burns etc). Not everyone has played KSP and it's weird to see a tool which is not explained in any way.
Idk maybe not even a tutorial but just a wiki page here which explain game systems/ux?
@DPSAircraftManufacturer I'm sorry you feel this way, but I would question your claim that there is no community. Have you considered joining the SRC discord server? Far more happens on there than on this website.
I wonder what SR2 thinks of the SP community lol @DPSAircraftManufacturer
@ThePilotDude I mean you could just make a forum post, and maybe learn that way. Though I do agree with more tutorials because that will make the kids with their short attention span at least shut up some more.
The game does need more tutorials, that's an undeniable fact. I've been playing for a while, and still have absolutely no idea how to work the orbit tools, what they mean, and how to go from planet to planet. Good game, not perfect by any respect, but needs more tutorials
Do SR2 a favor, rate these reviews as unhelpful
There's a lot of such reviews on other games too. Some people are just dumb, and they can't play games harder than Candy Crush.
I think a lot of these people are young children with short attention spans, so that's probably why there are so many of these kinds of reviews.
Yep lazy
Yea, most likely. Hopefully most potential players are willing to ignore the half-baked reviews @KitKart
@nathanmagnus I see your bitterness towards those reviews. (I also read reviews on both google play and the app store as well. But at the end of the day, its just 10 year olds typing reviews with their mommy's ipad. (Or at least it seems like it)
I’m glad someone finally pointed this out. I got so aggravated reading through some of those unfair 1 star reviews
