I present to you the first of the Admiral series with my Fornax captual as the payload that got starboarded on simple rockets chat discord server with the design drawing and the basic render I had at the time. I however have some disapointing news about the Fornax which I will spill before the good news. The Fornax in this craft isnt the detailed version with the control pannel ive been working on for days. After getting 5 of the panels on the display done it was 1680 parts. I downsised it again using Pedros java sise up and down thing from 100 sise for minidetailing to the normal size. Then tested it the frame rate was 10 at my normal max settings and 15-20 fps on very low settings. I was heart broken and honeslty its all the lights in the display but the Fornax needs them so I still have the detailed version but its not done and also will really slow down your game. I will however; finish it and upload it if this gets 20 upvotes although it may take me a week or two after I hit that goal. Andway thats all the bad news aside, now for the good news. You can use this on mobile easierly as well as PC and no lag what so every :-)
Ok now a little about the craft
ADMIRAL
Admiral is the first in a series of Admiral rockets it was designed as an original concept design by me which I decided to turn into a series and then render on SR2 as the one I actually wanted to render first the Caracal has asymetrical nozzles so I wasnt able to do that one. Part way though the process of it I realised that it looks quite like a Titan missile so I went along with a few features from Titan missiles :-) I do like putting in historic referances. Anyway this is quite a light booster and cannot get too much to orbit and it was actually quite a challenge getting to make a crewed capsule into a 60 km orbit with it and KAL. Also fun fact the Admiral isnt circular.
FORNAX
The Fornax capsual was really just dreamed up when I was like well whats it's payload going to be I want actually expecting I would do something crewed but then I was reaserching about Titan missiles just for a space nerds kinda fun and then was like Bingo ill base it off Gemini because yes. I made the vage capsule and put a dummy in it thinking well its gonna be dead as a door nail with those SRBs. It wasnt it ended up only producing 3G somehow at liftoff. I refined the capsule a bit finding space an issue alot I spent half an hour stright trying to fit 2 chairs inside it. After the basic one was compleat I took the photo the everyone seemed to love. I then drew up the design drawing that got starboarded. I didnt quite have the capsule interor fully done though yet so I got to it and a few days later I was at the point where I just lost intrest in a project that was causing my higher end computer trouble knowing that very few people would actually be able to enjoy it.
IMPORTANT INSTRUSTIONS AND NOTES
PLEASE NOTE this craft with default payload unless done perfectly and at a very very low droo orbit will have to use the Fornax's orbital thusters to get into a stable orbit which is ok because its got tons of fuel.
PLEASE NOTE the Fornax isnt good at landing on water which I tryed but not that hard as its designed to land on ground anyway.
PLEASE NOTE the Fornax's engines are orbital thusters and not engines for propulsive landing. They are powerful enough even underexpanding to lift the craft up but its got paracutes for a reason and there is no need to put unessassary strain on the engines. Theortically these could be used for an abort but I havent included it in this version although it could be a thing in other versions for now just stage really fast and full thottle if something somehow goes wrong at launch which it won't. "the best thing about the abort system is that we never had to use it" -some designer in the Gemini program that decided ejector seats were a better option because of low mass.
INSTRUCTIONS
when the SRB's run out stage and they will seperate
when you reach 60,000 m jetison the fairings
to open the docking covour on top just set slider 1 to 100 % DO NOT set it to negative this will break it.
click the cargo door and turn it on to open the hatch yes I know it opens slow, I am a realist as well as a visonary.
TO EVA THE CREW you will need to face the chairs from the bottom of the craft zooming in. Good luck you can get some good Ed White EVA Gemini like shots
Thats about all I have to say but anyway thankyou for reading all this im sure Alaska would concider it spam but then again Alaska concideres anything above 10 words spam and half the time its a repost aparently. Anway have fun UPVOTE PLEASE share arround and enjoy. :-)
Also FOLLOW me to stay tuned for any further updates of this craft possibly including the detailed version and including the rest of the Admiral rocket family.
Once again much love BrTommygun <3

@KatipunanSpaceAgency hahahahaha I suppose when the craft just has so much to say about it you have to say it somewhere
