On October 10, Prototype 6 completed its suborbital test flight. The goal of this flight was to see how the current prototypes handle higher reentry speeds and ascents. Prototype 6 completed all of its objectives. There was a slight anomaly during the flip causing higher than expected horizontal velocity upon splashdown. Nevertheless, it landed fine.
**New Features and Other Stuff**
~Legs, new legs. They are more stable. They kind of clip through the skirt, which will be changed in the next few prototypes.
~My goal was to make 0M1CR0N land starship-style. However, the fins make it glide, so it is more of a starship-shuttle landing.
~Fin position will be changed. Oddly, the craft’s nose starts to pitch up during high speed descents. The fin position was supposed to counteract that, but I guess it doesn’t.
I hope you enjoy the craft. More coming soon.
