    @Venus
    - When will mobile version development start? And will be blogs like here?
We don't have a timeline yet for the mobile development. Yes, we will keep you updated here on the blog.

    • Does SR2 support A10X or A11X (iPad chips)? And does it support 120HZ (frame rate?)
I'm not sure why those chips would not be supported, though I'm also not sure if their hardware will be specifically taken advantage of.
      Not sure about the 120HZ.

    • How many parts is there?
Right now we have 32 in the game.

    • is final release delayed? Or still early 2019?
We never had an official final release date. At this point, I think we are looking at around Summer 2019.

We just care a lot about our users and want to make sure they are seen....hehe, ya, whoops. That was me. It's fixed now.

@WeSeekANARCHY Sorry :( Android is tough. Sometimes it's some little non-vital feature a device is missing and the game is flagged as not compatible.

@Venus Ya, with the Pixel Pop stuff I've posted weekly now for 3 weeks, so I'm giving myself a break from SR2 blogging tomorrow. I will make a blog post, but it won't have anything to do with SR2.

@Venus Don't get too excited for tomorrow...I'm actually not going to do an SR2 post. Sorry!

@JoshMan Yes and no. Solar panels won't work in the night time (when the planet is between the craft in the sun). They take into account distance from the sun and the direction of sunlight. So if the sunlight is directly hitting a panel, it will absorb 100% of the solar radiation. If the panel is angled to the sun, then it will be the cosine of the angle. However, we don't take into account if the panel is in the shadow of the craft itself. Too much computation for realtime simulation.

    @Venus

When falcon heavy booster was flying around gas giant and moving during warp, it is on 2x or 3x or what?
I think it was around 1,000x or 3,000x

And will the egg Easter’s be in mobile?
    We can't say! That would

And is there plan for robotic arm like insight and is there plan for another command pods for unmanned mission?
No robotic arm, but you could fashion it yourself. We have a Command Chip part that you can put on crafts when you don't want the extra bulk and cost of a full Command Pod.

And is there a plan for scanners and camera like sp? And antenna??
Cameras, yes. Antenna, not initially but we could add that if players really want it. What do you mean by scanner?

And can we place a engine at any angle?
    Yes

Will be there at least one asteroid?
    Not sure yet.

And Is there science mode plan and it will be in sr2 after early access?
At some point, we plan to have a career mode with research so you can unlock other parts.

@Caveman999 We are still shooting for releasing on Steam Early Access this summer, which officially ends September 22nd. We did find a lot of bugs this weekend, though, so we have our work cut out!

@JoshMan It's my dev machine: Core i7 with 32GB RAM with a GeForce 1080. The game is running on the highest quality settings, but we do have some more work to do to get the game to run smoothly on lower end devices. Those aren't real grid fins. Kevin made them out of fuselage pieces. They don't actuate like normal grid fins, but they do provide some drag.

There is a map view so you can view the solar system, but unfortunately, we don't have the split screen option.

@Bmcclory Thanks, I'm glad to hear you like how it's looking. There were dozens of players, but I'm only aware of one player who knew about Pixel Pop from our forums.

The shuttle cockpit was actually made with fuselage pieces and structural panels. We've found that players are better at making cockpits than we are!

@kerothehero @iLikeipads Rockets are controlled very easily with the nav sphere, but it doesn't work as well with airplanes. You can control both rockets and airplanes with the standard roll, pitch, yaw inputs, which are bindable to keyboard inputs / gamepad inputs.

@SpaceWC Maybe we can try to grab some screenshots of menus during Pixel Pop this weekend.

    6.3 years ago
  • Profile image

@EternalDarkness Yep, that's correct. Green is the velocity vector and white is the heading direction. The rocket does indeed slip, but that's totally normal for a rocket. In fact, the drag model has been updated in SR2 to also apply lift forces on fuselage parts. Those lift forces help to stabilize the rocket in these situations.

    @Venus

    • Can we escape the solar system?
      No

    • How Big can we build in the Hangar?
I'm not sure. We don't have any specific size limitations that I can think of off the top of my head, so quite large.

    • Can we use Firing as this or this ?
We will have RCS nozzles that you can place anywhere.

    • is there side boosters like spacex dragon capsule?
No, those vents are for visuals and I'm thinking we should probably remove them because they do seem to cause justified confusion.

    • will be there science instruments?
      No

    • Can we use RCS to spin a spacecraft
      Yes

    • it is there slow motion?
      Yes

    • it is possible to get motion sickness for playing long period of time?
I never have, but everyone is different.

    • will be there light to see through dark side of planets & moons?
We plan to add a light part at some point.

    • Can engines catch in fire like sp?
      Not currently

    • Can we use pistons as landing gears?
I think you could probably fashion something together with rotators and pistons to make your own custom landing gear/legs. SP players have been blowing our mind for ages doing similar things.

    • is the separater can be customized?
The interstage can be resized like any other fuselage part. The side interstage cannot be customized.

We haven't added one yet, but we do plan to.

    • Is release date really delayed?
We are still shooting for summer 2018.

    • Is there live stream for the event?
No, that would be super boring! And you would probably see us picking our noses...

    • Will be there dwarf planets in sr2? And moon with atmosphere?
Probably and probably, though it won't matter after we add the ability to create your own planets.

1 - will solar panels tear apart during re-entry?
Drag rips the solar panels off, so yes.

2 - Is docking really that hard or easy?
It's hard! But possibly easier in some ways than SR1.

3 - Can we track all parts?
I'm not sure what you mean here. Parts can be clicked on during flight to view information about them, if that's what you mean.

4 - will be there missions? And how many?
We plan to have a career mode where you complete contracts for money.

5 - If you got debris strike during taking off which part will explode?
Any part that is impacted can explode.

6 - Can we create boats?
Sure, the fuselage can be used to make boats.

7 - is there release date for SR2 yet?
    No date yet.

8 - Can we use cockpit version like ksp?
    No cockpits

9 - will be there sounds in planets?
Planets don't make any sounds. They are shy.

10 - what if we escaped solar system like voyager 1? And is there something hiding in outer solar system?
No, we don't have anything beyond the solar system.

11 - what is that mysterious blue planet? In photo library
That's a gas giant we were working on.
