The Planned state means it shows up the Prospects list on the Roadmap.
Items elevated to be given a shot at development, but no work has started on these yet. We plan to investigate all of these, but it is possible that some of them may never make it through the research and development phase for unforeseen reasons.
When something moves to InProgress, then that shows up in the Research and Development list.
Currently being researched and/or developed, but timeline is uncertain. We're trying to make these things work, but it's still possible that they may not make a future release due to unforeseen reasons.
Active just means that it has been reviewed and is in the backlog where players can vote and comment on it.
@Maxpiens The files are compressed when you're downloading and then they're unzipped on your hard drive, so that's why you would see a larger file size on your hard drive than what the download is reporting.
Here's what you should have. It sounds like yours is right. I wonder if one of the required install files failed to install correctly. Try downloading and running the Visual Studio 2017 x64 redist. You can download it here, from Microsoft. Make sure you get the x64 version.
@Maxpiens If it's only downloading a 22MB file, then that sounds like an issue with either Steam or maybe an anti-virus software getting a little too ambitious and deleting the files. Can you confirm you don't have the correct files under SimpleRockets 2 Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files? You should have about 207 files taking up about 810MB. If that's not the case, try seeing if you can update Steam. Also, try uninstalling and re-installing. Also, when you go through the installer process, are you logged in as an admin or giving it admin privileges when it asks?
@SupremeDorian Absolutely, but I do ask that you make a suggestion for that so we can track it. In the meantime, you can fairly easily work around this by doing a quick save and then making a backup the QuickSave folder in your game state. If you ever want to restore a specific backup, just rename it to QuickSave and then hit F8 in the game to Quick Load it. This is what I do to make snapshots during development.
Hey, I appreciate you all looking out for us, but in the future please just let us know and we'll deal with it directly. Dan Field was doing us a great favor by covering the game on his channel and he was, understandably, really upset by the negative comments. There was obviously just a misunderstanding regarding the timing, which we could easily (and tactfully) clear up with a direct message to him.
@mjdfx150529 It's okay. I don't mind. I can't keep up with the comments anymore so I stopped trying, but I am glad to see that players are excited about the beta! :)

6.0 years ago@Gregrox Yep, I just replied back. Hopefully it didn't end up in spam this time!
6.0 years agoI'm really sorry to hear you are having such trouble with the game. Can you check and see if you have a log file here?
%APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimpleRockets 2\output_log.txt
If so, please send it to us at games@jundroo.com or upload it somewhere and put the link here in a comment.
6.0 years agoI sent you an email with some instructions a couple of days ago. Did you not get it?
6.0 years ago@321321321123123123 Try installing the Visual Studio 2017 redist. You can download it from here. Make sure you get the x64 version.

Game state path:
6.0 years ago%userprofile%\appdata\locallow\Jundroo\SimpleRockets 2\UserData\GameStates
Unfortunately, there's no way to do that currently.
6.0 years ago@Gonetotx You can zoom in/out with the mouse scroll wheel or two finger drag on some devices with a touch pad.
6.0 years ago@321321321123123123 What are your system's specs (video card, OS, RAM, 32-bit/64-bit?)
6.0 years ago@Shibe Yes, eventually after we add more planets.
6.0 years ago@hartobr We will release on iOS and Android next year.
6.0 years ago@AstronautPlanes What do you mean?
6.1 years ago@Jacklepyansky We are not sure at this point if we will launch on Mac App Store or not.
6.1 years agoYou can start a new game or you can upload your sandbox to the website.
6.1 years ago@MyMessage After you purchase the game, there will be an option to review the game at the top of the page.

6.1 years agoWe now have our own suggestion page here on SimpleRockets.com, so please use that from now on.
6.1 years ago@Shigure You should check out my home PC's monitor. One of my biggest splurges in the past decade.
6.1 years ago@Planefun Thanks! And, like @WNP78 hinted, there are still plenty of bugs to keep things interesting!
6.1 years ago@GR00G0 8AM CST.
6.1 years ago@Sharandeep981 nuclear engines won't make the initial release, but I would like to add one of those eventually.
6.1 years ago@JoshuaW Heading Lock is your friend. I think it's easier to fly a rocket than a plane with heading lock.
6.1 years ago@WeSeekANARCHY Unfortunately not. This is a 64-bit game :(
6.1 years ago@MrShadow SR2 will cost $14.99 on Steam (PC/Mac).
6.1 years ago@MLGSwagPilot Thanks for the kind words and thanks for playing our games! Also, I have given you your signup bonus.
6.1 years ago@TurboSnail Which phrase? Rapid unscheduled disassembly? It's been around for a long time.
6.1 years ago@tsampoy Yep, there are still currently explosions in space. If you have heat damage enabled then your craft can blow up on re-entry too.
6.1 years agoWe've been having some connection issues recently with the site, so the request probably failed. I'll try and take a look at this next week.
6.1 years ago@kerothehero Not too bad. It's very manageable at this point.
6.1 years agoI have increased it to 20k characters. That's as large as we can make it for now.
6.1 years agoI have limited the length of posts to 10k characters. Sorry for the inconvenience.

6.2 years ago@dootdootbananabus We're just working on PC/Mac right now. Android and iOS will be next year.
6.2 years ago@Exospaceman The beta is run through SimpleRockets.com not Steam.
6.2 years ago@AstronautPlanes You have to have the 100 points when you initially sign up on SimpleRockets.com
6.2 years ago@Caveman999 yep, we are using Rewired for handling controls, just like we did with SP, so it should work the same.
6.2 years agoYou can bind pitch, roll, and yaw to a joystick, if that is what you are asking.
6.2 years ago@tsampoy We plan to release on Steam Early Access for PC/Mac in October.
6.2 years ago@Jaker2902 No, we are shooting for next year for the mobile release.
6.2 years ago@Nooneoone Flying through gas giants is ill-advised. They will destroy your craft below a certain altitude.
6.2 years ago@Nooneoone Awesome! Thanks for the feedback :)
