Currently there is no game mechanic for this, so you have to EVA them.
But there is a suggestion on it:
https://www.simplerockets.com/Feedback/View/uoI985/Ability-to-move-an-astronaut-from-module-to-module
The simplest way is to get the speed every second and add this up. For crafts the whole process is much more complicated, because every planet is moving too. So if you want the exact distance traveled of a craft relative to the starting point you need mutch more calculation.
Replicate AG Determinds how this commandpod will replicate activation groups when it is not the active pod.
All: replicates All activation groups
Changes: only replicates a change was made
None: dont replicate AGs
Replicate Commands does the same with inputs and Replicate Stage act does the same with stage activations.
hint: if you hover over the names you get the explanation as Tooltip.
I would Make a while(true) loop.
then you can use an activation group for "starting" the script.
Simply check in the loop if the activation group is activated and then deactivate it and start the script
@Insanity Probably my question was not specific enought, sorry for that XD.
I dont want to know the Height relative to the ground. I need to know the Height of the Rocket itself (From the thruster to the commandpod)
