JUNE 9, 2024 | PRESS RELEASE

On June 9th 2024, Pacific Space announced its plan to attempt landing the first stage of its Nexus rocket back at the launch site on a landing pad during the upcoming test mission, scheduled for mid-June.

“Our ultimate goal is to return the entire stage intact, but for this mission, our primary focus is on collecting more data,” explained Troy, the founder of Pacific Space.

Depending on the results of this attempt, the final step in our vehicle recovery program will involve landing Nexus’s first stage on land before its relaunch. Success in land landings could significantly reduce costs for future Nexus missions by allowing the booster to be reused.
