@NathanMikeska no, I made a mod and found some error, so made a fixed version with update. I can't install the fixed version unless deleting the older one. I expected newer one automatically replace the older.
Eh, that happens when you load a sandbox without proper solarsystem.xml file. You deleted solarsystem.xml but haven't changed the sandbox and that's why this happened. I can help you solve this but you have to know where you can find the sandbox save on your mac.
I don't particularly want the thrust curve feature (would be nice to have) but mostly want the fuel-casing-chamber-equivalency because you can never ever build super massive thrust SRBs with current logic.
@pedro16797 Yeah sure, Mach is dependent on your atmospheric state - I mean if you wanna do a ScramJet SSTO you typically hit up to Mach 25 on StratoSphere
@AndrewGarrison AS I said over and over and over again, RCSs are basically tiny engines. Besides that, a few or sub kilonewton engines are very useful. You need engines for ants everywhere, especially when you're sending a tiny probe into deeeeeep space.
I'd rather say Tooling/Designing Cost rather than Design Freeze - if you change your rocket, the modification itself costs a tremendous cost (and time, if Construction Time considered)
@SuperCracket step 6 is the easiest above all. If you can't find SimpleRockets tab in menu bar, you haven't imported modtool properly.

5.4 years agoseems like if you have same named mod already, a newer version of it doesn't replace old one.
5.4 years agoWhere is the help file?
@AndrewGarrison wow, which means we have some possibility to have this?
5.5 years ago@AndrewGarrison
5.5 years ago@pedro16797 that would reduce the fuel loads too so make it less magical
5.5 years agocan you modify the code to change the mass scale ^2 too so it matches the density?
5.5 years agoF-1B possible?

5.6 years agoCan you open the doors so that my Tower and Crawler can crawl in and out?
5.6 years agoI feel like I'm left behind, I have felt like it must be my Eridanus MPCV :(
5.6 years ago@pedro16797 my suggestion is all about the fastest way, not making it a full fledged version
5.6 years agoI guess it was here like 3~4 months ago but nobody does it anymore
5.6 years agoI don't particularly want the thrust curve feature (would be nice to have) but mostly want the fuel-casing-chamber-equivalency because you can never ever build super massive thrust SRBs with current logic.
5.6 years agoplumbing and power cycle. It can by symbolized or simplified but at least should be able to work.
5.6 years agohttps://www.simplerockets.com/Feedback/View/aZCKft/The-De-nurfing-engine-option
5.6 years agoNo de-nurf code today? :(
5.6 years ago@Kell Never is, MRM-106D RCS Thrusters on DCSS produce only 40N/27N depends on the ports.
5.6 years agoEh, why don't you calculate the dV with rocket equation?
5.6 years ago@pedro16797 I'm dead serious
5.6 years ago@Kell Planet Studio implies unlimited stock planets. All you should do is speaking out "No XML"
5.6 years agoOkay, I'm gonna wait until @AndrewGarrison add some precise nuke reactor model like this
5.6 years ago@Exospaceman Sure, me neither :P
5.6 years agoOn the other side of the universe, there comes skinnier mouthless --green-- various colored --kerbals-- subhumans...
5.6 years ago@MarioG You can waterproof it. There's a lot of rocket motors working underwater.
5.6 years agoI guess Aerospike nozzles should be truncated, not shrinked.
5.6 years ago@Shoot2kill agreed
5.6 years ago@legohelobilly aerospike is a type of engine nozzle. It has nothing with fuel type.
5.6 years ago@pedro16797 It is believed that scramjets can theoretically propel you faster than mach 20, but there's not much research :(
5.6 years ago@pedro16797 Yeah sure, Mach is dependent on your atmospheric state - I mean if you wanna do a ScramJet SSTO you typically hit up to Mach 25 on StratoSphere
5.7 years agoI suggeset up to mach 25 which is the orbital velocity of Earth - you need this much if you wanna make an Earth capable SSTO sith some (SC)Ramjets
5.7 years ago@AndrewGarrison AS I said over and over and over again, RCSs are basically tiny engines. Besides that, a few or sub kilonewton engines are very useful. You need engines for ants everywhere, especially when you're sending a tiny probe into deeeeeep space.

5.7 years ago@AstronautPlanes Realism Overhaul would be overplaying us for at least more than a year, tho
5.7 years agoCan I submit mine

5.7 years ago@Kell
5.7 years ago@mjdfx150529 what??!? Must be an option to un-nerf it right?
5.7 years agoI have different idea, gonna develop it soon...ish
5.7 years agoI'd rather say Tooling/Designing Cost rather than Design Freeze - if you change your rocket, the modification itself costs a tremendous cost (and time, if Construction Time considered)
5.7 years ago@LiamW
5.7 years ago1. Hydrolox is a general term for Hydrogen + Liquid Oxygen
2. So yes
3. I hope so
So...what would you do with theoretical limit engines in stock systems?
Time to RSS
5.7 years agoThe plume is still under development right?
5.7 years agoI must say - Do it in RSS!
5.8 years agoWhy?
5.8 years ago@NathanMikeska If you add Venus, would you add superfluid atmosphere of it too? If that's the case I'm all for Venus.
5.8 years agohttps://www.simplerockets.com/s/t3rE8w/CR-Real-Scaled-System-0-08-No-Rocket-Falls
You can play with 8 planets and well, I don't remember but more than 30 moons
