I think with mod support in upcoming updates and all the great spacecraft that you and other veteran builders are sharing with the community it will help to attract many new players.
I would love to record and stream some of my designs (my computer suck though) however I would LOVE to see some stream or at least YT videos, I also think some collaborations between some of you veteran builders/explorers would make for some great videos, we could then share these video links on reddit and other social media platforms.
Additionally since the game has gotten a few very nice updates including the addition of procedural jet/rocket engines, when the game is nearing full release it might be worth asking Scott Manley and other similar YouTubers to cover the game again, I know they have already covered it in the past but the game will be much more different and will have many new things in addition to all the many craft, mods and modded solar systems at that point.
@pedro16797 I might try that, I haven't messed with XML yet and I was putting it off lol :P
I have had success joining struts and tanks as per your example but not luck with only interstages yet, so I just put some short struts on the end of the side interstages and that works for now :P
I thought I saw shock diamonds earlier today after the update, what a nice surprise! Thank you for fixing the rotation/relocation gizmo tool bugs! Shucks on the lowering of ISP on rocket engines though, I was actually going to suggest ISP be raised on some of the engines. Would you consider implementing 1 type of "elite" engine with much higher ISP (pushing 400), and higher chamber pressures? (as in the latest-gen rocket motors from SpaceX or Blue Origin) that would be an amazing final (conventional) engine to have on a campaign mode tech tree @AndrewGarrison
imho I wouldn't add a swastika. However you should add a German/Iron Cross and Balkenkreuz that were typical on WW2 Luftwaffe aircraft. Even better the Balkenkreuz would be a very simple addition in terms of design time.
I've been trying to recreate a Korolev Cross-style booster separation but I haven't been able to perform one one that doesn't end up in disaster, so I would love to see someone build a rocket that can performs a Korolev cross separation in SR2.
I have older android devices so an android release is not as important for me but I know a lot of people have been asking for a release on iOS and android so it might benefit you to release on those platforms
@mjdfx150529 Well that goes without saying, I won't be able to use this feature as I intended until this is fixed, but in the meantime I thought I would share an error with the community.
Forgive me because I'm a noob but I will try to help with what little I know.
While in craft building screen, select the Command Pod (or Command Chip), then click on the Part Properties icon on the left menu. From there you can "select as Primary" or alternatively you can "edit activation groups". Clicking on this will click on the activation groups for that Command Pod.
You can then assign each part to a specific activation group, Then in the staging menu you can select the order of stages and the parts that belong to it.
Disclaimer: I havent configured different Command Pods on one rocket or assembly yet, so I hope other, more experienced rocketeers will chime in.
@swope Great video, thank you! that clarifies nodes very well. I have a question, when you hover on the orbit track, what do the up and down arrows mean? I figured these are points to place the nodes but what do they mean?
I like your suggestion, upvoted it a few days ago :D But I wonder, is there a way to make the RCS more lethargic or not as touchy? I may have to check the part settings during the building process
@Kell thanks, i'll check it out
5.6 years ago@Bmcclory wow that's saying something, I've never played SP1 and some of the builds here seem pretty complex lol

5.6 years ago@Kell thanks much!
5.6 years agoAt those speeds you should definitely be seeing some blue-shift lol
5.6 years agoNeat concepts
5.6 years agoLooking forward to your new builds
5.6 years agoFixed in latest update (0.7.0.2)

5.6 years ago@Klosskopf I looked forward to seeing it after it is fixed!
5.7 years agoPretty robust update!

5.7 years ago@AtlantikWall45 looking forward to downloading it! :D
5.7 years agoI see similarities to the SLS, I like the amount of detail you put into it

5.8 years ago@swope no worries, any help is appreciated. Enjoy your weekend! :D
5.8 years ago@swope https://www.simplerockets.com/c/nPD0qQ/Prototype-SSTO feel free to tweak as you wish, but I warn you in its current form it is unflyable lol

5.8 years ago@mjdfx150529 I guess it's back to the drawing board for me. Thank you!
5.8 years ago@mjdfx150529 That's very thankful thank you. Do you know if placing an object in front of a wing's airflow will also block or spoil that airflow?
5.8 years ago@swope yikes lol
5.8 years ago@swope Thanks! I'll play around with Pixie engine groups and see what results I get.

5.8 years ago@mjdfx150529 Is that considered normal? shouldn't the measured lengths change based on scaling? it's very difficult to construct things otherwise.
5.8 years agoDid you duplicate a GPS constellation?
5.8 years agoYou taught aerospace in 12th grade? sounds like a great high school if they offered an aerospace class!
