The old engines (and the current ion engine and rcn) are possible to tweak in the xml but the rocket engines and jet engines are parametric. You can add values out of the bounds of the designer to get more powerful parts though
@Verbalist216 I'll upload it later so you can save the engine as a subassembly and btw, it doesn't take forever to reach a planet, you just need to have certain intuition about orbit dynamics
@Verbalist216 It may be broken, it used the old engines with 0 consumption. Keep in mind you need to use kerosene and have at least 1 unit of fuel though for them to work
@MarioG the game isn't recommended for 1GB ram devices. In my case I've tried the titanic and it's kind of playable at 7fps (it has almost 4k parts iirc)
@ngoc2699nguyen based on previous statements your tablet should run the game. Not sure about how smooth it will be being a 2014 device. The GPU and CPU are not the best in the market but you have enough RAM (they told us over 2GB RAM should work fine). If you have the tablet since 2014 you should be aware of possible overheating while playing and maybe thermal throttle in the CPU
@InfinityTechnology I guess visuals are not the main thing affected by RAM. RAM is related to things loaded in memory for quick access, like the planet itself (more ram should allow more detail in the textures, more mesh prepared to be loaded...) and higher part counts (you'll need this for sure hahaha)
@Mod @SuperCracket you can force any part to be a command pod but it comes with some bugs (related to CoM, craft mass and fuel flows and also not being able to swap back to the craft once you leave it)
@PhilipTarpley in my case it hangs if I close the game directly, going through the exit button was fine (before this beta), not sure if that info helps
@plane918273645 you have to wait until tomorrow but I guess you do, yes
4.9 years ago@AndrewGarrison it would be really nice to have access to warp time from vizzy
4.9 years ago@Funny8ekranoplan the exhaust
4.9 years ago@Funny8ekranoplan you can try with stretched engines too but the plume is a bit weird
4.9 years agobtw, how are you going to make the sern?
4.9 years agoIf you want some tips or help automating stuff and reducing the part count don't mind to ask :)
4.9 years ago@Insanity it is really easy to make a vertical launch and landing ssto and you don't really need combined cycle engines for that
4.9 years ago@CaptainInconspicuous that would be really cool
4.9 years ago@RDasher maybe an option in the code itself to perma-load the craft running that code
4.9 years agoThe old engines (and the current ion engine and rcn) are possible to tweak in the xml but the rocket engines and jet engines are parametric. You can add values out of the bounds of the designer to get more powerful parts though
4.9 years ago@SupremeDorian dang you were faster than me xd
4.9 years ago@PositivePlanes Simple Rockets Chat, the biggest discord server (almost 666 people)
4.9 years agoYou would be amazed with the real price of fuels, it isn't that expensive and water engines (not ntr but pressure fed) are ridiculously bad
4.9 years agoxddd
5.0 years ago@RocketBuilder I can't open it xd
5.0 years ago@RocketBuilder now the answer 🧐
5.0 years ago@SelectAKey oh :(
5.0 years ago@RocketBuilder well, upload it unlisted and then make a forum post with the link to the craft, but people can then upvote the forum post
5.0 years ago@RocketBuilder Don't think so
5.0 years agoWhy?
5.0 years ago@SelectAKey if you just delete them from the crafts folder it shouldn't break anything, at least in the past that was fine
5.0 years ago@SelectAKey you may have to manually delete the files
5.0 years ago@Verbalist216 here
5.0 years ago@Verbalist216 I'll upload it later so you can save the engine as a subassembly and btw, it doesn't take forever to reach a planet, you just need to have certain intuition about orbit dynamics
5.0 years ago@Verbalist216 It may be broken, it used the old engines with 0 consumption. Keep in mind you need to use kerosene and have at least 1 unit of fuel though for them to work
5.0 years ago@FrancisLLGamin you open the craft file and edit the xml code
5.0 years ago@FrancisLLGamin what do you mean?
5.0 years ago@ThePilotDude can you upload the craft unlisted and send the link?
5.0 years ago@ThePilotDude mmm inlets are hollow all the way through, the ones with a capped end are the interstages
5.0 years agolmao
5.0 years ago@PvPSky How much?
5.0 years ago@Maxwing1 you have to open the command window (go to the keybinding settings and assign it a key), then just type MLI
5.0 years ago@Kell another option is set the AG to on by default, but in some cases it may break
5.0 years agoYou can use the command MLI for infinite fuel
5.0 years ago@SpacedOut Pocophone F1 rooted with Lineage
5.1 years agoYes, try to disguise it with the parentheses, I was there and he said that. This is the first time in history I see this.
5.1 years ago@MarioG the game isn't recommended for 1GB ram devices. In my case I've tried the titanic and it's kind of playable at 7fps (it has almost 4k parts iirc)
5.1 years ago@SupremeDorian wo, interesting then, I hope they care about optimisation or else I won't be able to play xd
5.1 years ago@kerothehero do you mean for the UI? it would be a really cool feature
5.2 years ago@ngoc2699nguyen based on previous statements your tablet should run the game. Not sure about how smooth it will be being a 2014 device. 5.2 years ago@Shigure I've seen you already got it, i'll edit it to add the link in the post
5.2 years ago"20m" hahaha
5.2 years agoChange the mass and buoyancy until you get to a satisfactory bounce
5.2 years ago@Mod @SuperCracket you can force any part to be a command pod but it comes with some bugs (related to CoM, craft mass and fuel flows and also not being able to swap back to the craft once you leave it)
5.2 years agoAndrew is working in mobile version now and he gave some hints about mobile being in one of the next updates (so soonish)
5.2 years agoNo but.
5.2 years ago@NathanMikeska you should edit the text to the correct unity version
5.2 years ago@PhilipTarpley in my case it hangs if I close the game directly, going through the exit button was fine (before this beta), not sure if that info helps
5.2 years agoFixed the hang on exit?!?! Finally :D
