On Google Play you won't need to repurchase the game when it's released. Not sure about iOS.

I don't know that I would trust my brother that much!

We live in the same house and we get along pretty well. Hell, I was the one who told him to sign up since at the time my tablet was broken.

@wwwNews222com Er, what? There's not even any gameplay of it, what makes you think it's a trainwreck?

@AndrewGarrison If my brother gets selected for beta testing would I also be able to play it? I was going to fill the form since I got a new tablet, but it said I already filled it because I guess it's limited to 1 per IP Address or something.

While Astronauts would be a great addition to the game, I don't think they should be humans. SR2 doesn't take place in our Solar System, thus there is no reason for life on Droo to be human. A huge part of KSP's identity is the Kerbals themselves. I think if they do add Astronauts, they should go with some new species they've made up, like 'Droomans' or something.

    I guess Squad needs money.

Squad isn't actually developing the game; they'll be focusing on updating the original game. KSP 2 is being developed by a new company by the name of 'Star Theory', which consists largely of KSP fans (some of them with over 2000 hours into the original game). @pedro16797

@Kell Correction: Google Play doesn't prohibit the running of mods. Most SimplePlanes mods do in fact have an Android version. However, (not sure if this is the case for SimpleRockets 2) future versions of SimplePlanes on Android will require that the scripting backend be changed from one that supports mods to one that does not due to Google Play now requiring that all apps have 64-bit support. See here for more details.

Unfortunately I cannot sign up right now due to me not having a functional mobile device. However, my brother just signed up so (assuming he gets chosen for testing) he can test it instead.

@WaspWaspWaspSR2 Well, if you actually do play Spaceflight Simulator, I'm a well-known member of The official Forums for the game, if you're interested in joining. It's quite a nice community.

Looks great so far! If my tablet won't be able to run it, then at least I have the PC version (And have had it since the first 10 minutes of the game's release!).

sigh Read the FAQ before asking the same question several people have already asked before. It's being worked on.

"When can we expect the mobile (iOS/Android) release?"
We will begin development in early 2019. At this point, it is too early to give a release date estimate. Once we’ve started to peel the onion back we’ll have a better grasp on how long it will take to get the mobile version blasting off.

Anyone else want to ask the same exact question?

What you have to understand is that SimplePlanes has been out for years and has had plenty of time to receive community feedback and become what it is now. SimpleRockets 2 only came out in early access last November, and as such you can expect it to be more rough around the edges than SP. Personally, I prefer SR2 over SP and am excited to see it grow. I'm sorry you don't like the game, but please consider the facts I have stated above.

@PinkieH Even if that is the case, there's far more to porting a PC game to Mobile than just porting the graphics. You have to optimize the performance for mobile devices, make the controls work for mobile devices, etc.

Reminds me of when everyone on Spaceflight Simulator was asking 'when update' to the point where Stef (the developer) was practically begging for them to stop. Thankfully though that isn't the case anymore. Everyone for the most part is waiting patiently for the update. These people, though..
