You have to burn the oxidizer in space, that leads for a hydogen/oxygen fuelcell consumption to appox. 1 kg/s hydrolox for 8 MW at 50% eta (just calculated that from wikipedia infos). In you example: 63.7g/s hydolox would produce 500kW. Kerolox of course less (82.kW would seem a little bit too less for me, but still o.k.). If you have oxygen from ambient (e.g. a PEM fuelcell in a car) you get even 72MW out of 1kg/s H2. So yes, Juno has an error of not less than 3 order of magnitudes in their FuelCells !!! Incredible!
Well, c becomes slower in materials. So c0 is the speed of light in the vacuum and it is defined as c0 = 299 792 458 m/s exactly. So you can take a bath in water and you will see very slowly light waves there. But still fast, ask Tscherenkow (rip) !
@JezzBomb Both. For me it would be interesting to improve the auto pilot for my helicopters, compensating increasing pitch and roll instability during increasing air speed. Like it is done in gyros for RC helicopters ( I once fly one without gyro that's a lot of work). So if this could be done in a flight program code, however this could be done, perhaps programming a simple PID controller controlling roll and pitch inputs, that would be intersting for me to know. The blocks in the flight program section of the Juno Builder are not sufficient for doing that I'm afraid. But I am hoping for getting new ideas concerning that.
Great!
1.8 years agoWhat's "HPU" ? High Pressure Unit ? Second stage ? Still shaking bones here...
1.8 years agoIt was simply bombastic !
1.8 years agoGreat event ! My bones are still shaking now...

1.8 years ago"Meco Rocket Simulator" looks promising too
1.8 years agoWhow cool. I am still looking for my first one.
1.8 years agoYeah, it's a great simulation game, I am nearly as new as you are. Welcome to the forum !

1.8 years agoYes, correct, there is not much live in here....
1.8 years agoEnjoy!
1.8 years agoI just created the account to say how awesome this simulation is! Thank you and good luck with further development! Tom
