@StarhopperAerospace that would be awesome! It might be a while until I have the skill to take on a project like that, but I'm game

@galleta oh! You copy the code that looks like this into the description of your video on youtube and paste the link to the video into the text box then click verify at the bottom

Yo habla muy poquito espanõl. Google helps too. Go to create a new video. Click on the blue box that says Verify Channel. Follow the instructions there. It should tell you pretty quick once it's verified.

@Arstotzka lol my phone doesn't like certain vizzy codes and part counts above 1000 unless I drop all the settings to low. Surprisingly though some really complex stuff runs fine at mostly high settings so idk why it doesn't like the other ones.

In all seriousness though, I have to agree with Arstotzka and add maybe Beta I. There's probably a few more I don't know about too

@plane918273645 Thanks! It's one of my future goals with this game once I get good at vizzy. That and an F-22 with functional thrust vectoring(I have a gif I want to paste here but can't) posted here

@StarhopperAerospace lol that's something I've been interested in doing too(I just don't know vizzy enough to do it yet). I also thought about an ICBM with MIRVs that can each lock onto a seperate target or target a location with a specific pattern(ie overlapped liked flower petals)

@Tweedle_Aerospace no, I play Minecraft on my phone, and actually have been playing since the game was still free(yeah like 10 years ago the Official minecraft was free if you didn't play multiplayer). I just don't play online/realms or anything, and I'm not familiar with the names of any servers or players. The wiki page you linked to never mentioned minecraft(that I noticed) so I had no idea what any of it was until I googled it.

@Tweedle_Aerospace lol I'm just trying to figure it out. It seems like it's a mod server for some game, but I've never heard of any of the stuff on the wiki you linked to, so I just don't know.

So after typing that, I googled it and eventually found out it's a Minecraft server. Still, very confusing for someone who doesn't already know what it is

@HermesE aww man! It's okay though, it's not exactly a livestream (yet. I might do that in the future I just haven't tried), so you won't miss out on much. I appreciate your enthusiasm about it though, you're awesome!

Honestly, I like both in their own way. I was just starting to get used to the original system when the update hit, so I'm not very attached, but it still has a lot of character and it's really just a great map(the whole system). I also however love some of the new things in the new system, especially the easter eggs that call back to the old map while also providing something new. Really, I think this game should be played on both, just depending on how you feel/what you want

@HermesE yeah. Unexpected things happened in the lead up to launch and it had to be rescheduled. Fortunately, barring some unforseen circumstances, we'll have a quick turnaround and be ready to try again early tomorrow afternoon.

@Staticalliam7 Cool. I'm thinking about maybe doing this like an alternate ULA as far as having multiple seperate companies that work together as a single entity(but also do their own things seperately). I'll have to update this a little(I was thinking an affiliates list for OrbITech, and a members list for IRS)

I have no clue. I guess maybe that's why people post links on their bio's and stuff

    3.7 years ago
  • Profile image

@Staticalliam7 On a more serious note, it might help to break it down I to chunks:

    1) You need to keep track of your fuel. This includes fuel consumption as well as fuel needed for maneuvers.

    2) You need to calculate the optimal trajectory for your LV, taking into account the limitations of stages 1&2 based off fuel & ∆v margins.

    3) You need some way to target your LZ and calculate the necessary flight path for boostback

    4) Some kind of PID to make corrections throughout the flight and get more accurate landings

    5) And of course the suicide burn(or hoverslam if you prefer that)!

    3.7 years ago
  • Profile image

    1) Make a program

    2) Program the program

    3) Name the program Boostback Program

    4) Watch all your helpless unsuspecting victims crash their rockets immediately

Jk lol I wish I could help you there, but I really don't know besides the basic idea

I'm not sure if you could do exactly what you're saying, but you could link the craft to your bio, or as I've started to do, make a page that lists all of your crafts/videos/etc with links, so it's all in one place and easy to find

    3.7 years ago
  • Profile image

Sure. maybe keep a couple things only available in the full system, but all the smaller stuff(and some of the main planets/moons) would make cool additions to any system

@MitusAreospace okay. I'll try to finish the lander soon so I can test it and make sure it works right. As far as the rover goes, that might take awhile, but I'll keep that at a high priority.

    3.7 years ago
  • Profile image

@MitusAreospace lol I thought about that, but the lander's unfinished still and I don't have a rover yet. I would take the contract anyway, but I can't guarantee I'll have the time to work on it

FYI: The craft pictured is a prototype unmanned lander under development by the IRS. Specifics are mostly confidential, but the lander is specifically intended for use on bodies with no atmosphere such as Luna, TT, and others. It's goal is to study the surface of various bodies in advance of future missions.
