I can help collaborate. I was recently working on a crewed fuel space station, but I kind of put it on hold for a little bit. Collaborative space station sounds fun!
Yeah wheels are too powerful. You could make the torque lower with XML, and there also might be a max rpm option in XML i don’t remember. Or use vizzy to use very little throttle. More traction is so your wheels don’t slide/skid
Cool. I tried making a space plane yesterday but then I realized I’ve never made planes before and should probably start with something simpler. @XionmassResearchDevt
Nice! Kinda unrelated, but does anyone know if there’s a way to set roll to a specific number of degrees with vizzy like you can with pitch? I know you can use the slider but that isn’t really specific. @QarabinaKa
Update: Yes you can copy and paste craft designs back into the right folder and they show up in the game. I was pleasantly surprised it was that easy. 😄
Usually with many stage rockets the interstate and engine are separate stages. So you activate stage to separate the stages. Then you activate stage again to start the engine and then the fuel in the stage will show up. So usually odd number stages have fuel and engines, and even numbers are just the interstage splitting.
Not sure if this is your problem, but when you are close to the moon (in its SOI, so I think less than 41,000 km) you have to burn retrograde for a little bit until your orbit circles around the moon instead of being a line. That will make your orbit stay around the moon, instead of going back to droo.

3.7 years agoUseful information, also wow that experiment looks like a lot of work

3.8 years agonot really but there’s a SimpleRockets discord (I’ll look for the link). Also if you look on YouTube I think people have made good tutorial videos
3.8 years agoThx yay it finally worked!!! I’ve been trying to do this all week. I was using the wrong link, not the one directly to the photo. @Chtite451SR2
3.8 years agoDo you do MFD programming vizzy?
3.8 years agoI would also like to know
3.8 years agoThere is a wiki here, but it doesn’t seem very complete.

4.3 years agoYou’ll get it eventually, it just takes practice. If you ask questions here people are usually helpful and good about answering.
4.3 years agoYep I agree. You beat me to it @LofiTurtle
4.3 years agoMaybe set brake to 1 and throttle to 0? I could try to fix it if you upload the craft.
4.3 years agoThat looks really cool!
4.3 years agoI’ll try it out
4.3 years agoThank you I didn’t see the list variables part I think that was the problem. @sflanker
