There are many different ways to downlaod crafts. You can do it from within the game by pressing the 'dowload crafts' button in the menu or the editor, or you copy the link to the craft on the website and press ctrl + v while in the game, or you take the .sr2 file and press right click and open it with the SR2.exe.
Sounds complicated, you could try making it hover just above the surface, slowly translate in different directions and as you mentioned measure the difference in agl. Might be pretty hard to implement though.
I think the sheer variety of engine options would be quite overwhelming for many players, especially for beginners, so i dont think it would be a good idea to just add it in like that. It could be made an option though maybe. Also no need to ping Devs like that you can just make a suggestion.
@ThePilotDude what the op is talking about is that the internal volume of the fuel tanks is only about 60% of what it should be and there is actually a mod to fix that.
@Gozinya kinda, i was working on something a few weeks ago but i never got around to finishing it. The sounds were slightly off but it wasnt by much and you could clearly still hear what song it was.
@crowxe RSS is real solar system and REO is realistic engine overhaul, meant for unnerfing engine performance since the stock engines are slightly worse than real life.
Replicas, even if you think enough people have made the most popular rockets its always fun to try it on your own. Or you could look for less popular rockets/concepts, theres enough interesting ones out there.
It has to be around 45°-50° ahead of droo for an optimal transfer, though that might change if cylero is at it lowest point in the orbit. You'll just have to play around with the manouver node a bit.
@zeropol sure, its not a perfect system against spamming but there has to always be a balance between making the experience best for people and to keep spamming and harrasing to a minimum. That said if the 30 point barrier is enough to keep some people from participating in the community it might also be enough to stop someone from spamming, though maybe not just that fact alone but together with the time you need to wait between upvotes and the maximum post limit per day. These are all protective measures, not to stop unwanted behaviour indefinitely but instead to annoy someone who's trying to do something like it enough, so he'll think about it twice to continue or to do it again, in a balance between security and convenience for the regular users.
@Mastercam dont worry it takes quite a bit of time to understand the systems that are in place for making the planets. The files that controls the creation each of the planets/systems can be found in the SR2 folder under UserData/CelestialDatabase.
@Mastercam thats not actually just a texture, as the planets arent 2D. Its the actual terrain thats been changed, which is basically just a sphere with many verticies which have their height determined by different noise textures in the form of terrain mofifiers. The actual process of making a planet/moon is pretty complex and i couldnt just explain it in a single comment.
Its not a planet editor yet, its currently just a tool to manage and view planets and see updates to the xml files in real time, actual editing is still done externally.
Thats because they arent just userdata and are a fixed part of the game, also i wouldnt recommend you try to mess around in GameData as you could easily break something accidentally.
With the newest beta you can actually use planet studio on mobile, by going to the controls settings and clicking the dropdown menu and pressing open dev console (incase you needed to know for mobile).
@Bmcclory additionally the the rapier engine in ksp was basically made for SSTOs and the nuclear engine is completely overpowered, because it uses propellants with a density comparable to kerosene but with the isp of liquid hydrogen, causing its mass efficiency to skyrocket (pun intended).
Mods will never work on ios because Apple forbids it and you cant do anything about that. On android it has something to do with Googles requirements removing the ability for modding support.
You can write ![](link) when its a direct link to the image/gif and ends with something like .png or .jpg. About the heatshield, you usually just put them on the bottom of something you want to protect from heat, hence the name.
You're gonna have to expect some problems with calculating stuff, while you're breaking the laws of physics, especially when a fuel tank weighs less than the mass of the fuel it contains.
@sflanker i dont have anything uploaded, but a was able to make an SSTO spaceplane that could reach luna and then use a free return trajectory to return to droo with some aerobreaking. I might try to build an optimized version of that, to potentially go interplanetary.
@Peanutman1234 they're actually working on an ingame planet builder, meaning it will work for mobile aswell, for now they have adapted the way the planets are stored and created to prepare for that feature.
If you're looking for a completely accurate one, it doesnt exist, but KrAu's RSS is pretty good already.

4.2 years agoYou probably dont want to make an inclination adjustment when in low orbit, its way cheaper to do it halfway towards the moon your trying to go to.
4.2 years ago@plane918273645 actually, i would asume they use it to calculate the dv of a craft as i dont think there is another way to do so.

4.3 years agoNo, you can make a suggestion for that though.
+1 4.3 years agoYou set the activation group on the parts themselves.
+1 4.3 years agoYou cant currently but i heard it will be possible in the future.
4.3 years agoOne of the many other posts about this, you should find the explanation there somewhere.
4.3 years agoYou can just press the dropdown menu under settings/controls and press the open dev consle button
4.3 years agoThey would not collide and just clip through each other sadly.
4.3 years agoBasically just the N1 first stage with for example 4 falcon 9 boosters on the side.
4.3 years agoMy entry: Falcon 9 boosted N1... with a Starship instead of the upper stages.
4.3 years ago@Gozinya sure

4.3 years agoIts even easier to make with electric motors as you can just set the motor to the frequency you want.
4.3 years agoUse many small strut or fuel tank pieces to make text, thats how i do it even though i have mods.

No, you can actually make and publish solar systems on android now.

4.4 years ago@zeropol the link is broken, you're gonna have to wait for pedro to release the newest version.
4.4 years agoOn what platform do you play?
4.4 years ago@zeropol pretty sure hes talking about planetary systems.
4.4 years ago@Anand is it only the visual that arent there or are the temperatures of the parts also not rising?
4.4 years agoIt would probably work, but you most likely dont have enough friction on the astronaut.

4.4 years ago@socialist are you on the newest beta, cause then you will only be able to do it on the pc.
4.4 years ago@plane918273645 you can on android, just not on ios.
4.4 years agoYes you can add more space centers/droneships by editing the planet xml-file.
