I'm with @Bmcclory on this one, but you kinda have a point. I would like to see a direct link to the original in a text embedded in the comment. But by no means is the system "broken" or less than half decent. You also have to remember they're making a game too.

@AndrewGarrison cool thanks. Hopefully no one finds a clever way to stack the flat solar panels ;)

@AndrewGarrison, will solar panels only produce power when the photocell texture is in the light?

Feel free to read the blog posts and Andrews comments before posting a question like this. He has mentioned that it will be out before September 22.

@PriyanshuRoy if its anything like sr1, itll be "various strings being plucked volume 3"

  • Profile image

@Caveman999 Andrew has said summer ends mid September, so we have at most about 6 weeks to wait

    6.3 years ago
  • Profile image

@Bmcclory maybe, but youd have to have flat square wings on the bottom to have aerodynamic effects I imagine

    6.3 years ago
  • Profile image

Also, @AndrewGarrison with there be a full solar system view like SR1, and will we be able to do a split screen of the 2 views like in SR1 steam edition?

@AndrewGarrison what were the specs on the computers used in the video? I'm blown away by the smoothness and graphics. Love the flat solar arrays, and were those actual grid fins a la falcon 9? Couldn't tell cause they didn't move

@AndrewGarrison will there be a point where both circle connect on the prograde that we can control both circles at once?

@fizzyfidlesticks @Venus no, it will be a simmilar scale, however it wont be the exact same as our solarsystem

It's a heafty drive for me, but it might be worth it, especially if I can meet some of the staff... @AndrewGarrison how much of the team will be there?

@Chancey21 @Awsomur if you haven't played sr1, id highly recommend it. If you enjoy sp, I think you'll like rocketry more than you think

@Pikapilot they won't be until after sr2 is released. Andrew said it's hard working on 2 games with a staff their size

I know modding wiilll be comparable to simpleplanes however i hope they can go further. If anyone knows how in-depth SP modding gets, feel free to @ me, as I am a SP novis

I hope for extensive modding abilities. I would love to build an early system including habitat modules, oxygen (custom kind of fuel for modules), larger command pods, maybe astronaughts (again more as a custom fuel, ie, a statistic you could move around modules) and have more things run off electricity (pistons, rotators) as an added difficulty

Hey there bossman @StarKnight697, maybe you were having a bad day, or something. Who knows... but ya gotta acknowledge that was a bit unnecessary. It breaks the courtesy rules and id hate to get mods involved...

Well Mr SpaceDoge (if in fact that is your real name...) We here take ourselves very seriously when it comes to quality content. I recommend reading our entire library of sacred texts here and for an amalgamation of everything Dev Andrew has said to his faithful users, read this. I'd also recommend reading a few posts by @RailfanEthan and I, particularly the rants. We are trying to create an environment with minimal spam, and these rants are a deeper insight to our falling sanity from the past months. We are trying to achieve this environment through the doot campaign.

Make a uservoice post and let people decide there. Don't pester devs on adding anything that they've already said no to. I too think it's important remembering anyone who's sacrificed themselves for development, but it might not do it justice to make it an Easter egg.

@WhiteWing cool so step one, if you know it's answered... I highly recommend searching for it instead of @Ing devs. Step two, I'm just gonna tell you. Yes eventually next year there will be an iOS release. The steam beta is a pc/Mac ONLY release.

    6.4 years ago

@GeneralOliverVonBismarck check yo facts kiddo he said since betas somertimes start cheaper then gain cost as the game is developed, that they might go that route. 👌

@Awsomur Those would be great but they might take up too much processing power. I think they are going for a more light-weight game based on specs on Steam
