@Venus It's not that it makes the game boring, it just kind of negates one of the focuses of the game. It also would take a lot of code and a pretty good knowledge of astrophysics to set that up, that's why it'd probably be a modder thing.
@Skywallet Also the way they have the nav circle set up, one of the biggest reasons to use an autopilot (getting your inclination for your orbit exact bc it uses tons of delta v to correct) is already fixed. This nav circle is actually a lot more useful than the one in KSP.
@AndrewGarrison I think what @Venus meant by "another probe" was another command module-y part that is just unmanned, that way you don't have to put unfortunate souls on the boosters that may or may not slam into the ground upon attempted landing. *Also sorry for pinging you D:
These engines are kind of under powered compared to the Merlin I... I'm trying to come up with a design for an engine configuration but none of them are practical using these because the engines aren't powerful enough... ugh
@Bmcclory Well for one, I was the one saying that the modders would take care of the mechjeb type thing, then you tried to argue with me by agreeing with my stance. Second, I don't care if they add that to the game... I don't need it, not sure where you got "Even if it doesn't come, you can still get enjoyment out of the game" from.
@Bmcclory I'm just saying, something like that requires a ton of work as well as a pretty good knowledge of astrophysics. Not that the devs can't do it, but it would be a huge use of time and resources, and something that I'm sure plenty of modders already plan to do anyway.
@Skywalket I'd assume they won't add a built in MechJeb as that kind of defeats the one of the main purposes of the game, although I'm sure modders will create something similar depending on how mod-able the game is.
@AndrewGarrison for #3 I think it's like in the map mode thingy will you be able to switch to space debris that have no command pod? Like obviously you wouldn't be able to control those parts but would you still be able to see where they are? *Sorry for pinging you again, I feel bad :(

I'm getting a little too excited over this... (Those engine placements are exact to the hundreths place (give or take .1 bc google drawings is dumb) and I had to calculate where all of em go)
@JoshMan Yeah but I broke KSP with mods so now that I don't have a 3D space flight sim I'm getting too excited and trying to design it before it comes out lol
I had to stand outside in below freezing weather without a jacket to watch it on my phone (signal was weak where I was). I couldn't feel half of my body by the end of the launch but it was so worth it!!
People are actually up voting this... Like I get it's a super hilarious meme and all but do you really want a planet in this game to be called "Fred"? (Not to mention it would look bad for the devs as well)
I broke my KSP game by downloading too many mods (and I was ignorant and didn't use a mod manager so I can't delete them) and I need me a new space ex. game (especially since I'm a pretty big fan of astrophysics and especially SpaceX).
I really can't wait for this game to come out because I broke my KSP by downloading too many mods and was too ignorant to use a mod manager or anything for it..
btw is there a discord for this yet? I feel like they should set up a discord..

+1 6.4 years agooxygen is gud

+1 6.9 years agoLooks somewhat like a Merlin I but the thrust and other things are a bit off.
+1 6.9 years agoWow.... Just... Wow.... This game is so well made, amazing job, devs!!
6.1 years agoThe Soyuz one is a little too real right about now... lol
In fact, I love how they just did it with Russian rockets, what are you getting at devs..?

6.3 years ago@Bmcclory Not meant in a negative way but I'm pretty sure you didn't read any of the comments I was responding to...

6.4 years agoWow.... you've perfected something that I don't think any space sim has gotten anywhere near right.... amazing job devs!
6.4 years ago@iLikeipads Pretty sure you can see one in the Steam video

@JoshMan Noice, I'll check it out
6.5 years agoThese engines really aren't hard to guess what they're supposed to be..

6.5 years agoI've already thought of a 6 engine Falcon 9-ish reusable rocket design.
6.5 years agoThat's fair
