There're multiple bugs related to this

    +1 5.6 years ago
  • Profile image

    @swope multiple things
Images can only be linked in the main post and not in comments, that's why the ! didn't work
The precision is because they're taken from the xml file
We have a code to transform map projections, so if you want maybe @AnotherFireFox can export it in equirectangular
The layers are just normals for the shades in the map view, but don't add any interesting information

@Bmcclory I don't know any way to detect instant acceleration, I think it's impossible to automate a car airbag
About the automatic docking, @PlanesofJundroo, it may be possible but very hard. And I mean very very hard. Like 80 hours of work or more to get any decent result, and it may not be pretty.

@Mavizasyon the problem comes when there's someone (sometimes more than one) every week asking the same question. It has been answered multiple times and to make it worst it's answered in FAQ.
Of course you can ask anything you want, but you have to understand that you're going to piss off people if you ask the same over and over.

@CasualCrusade ok, this looks like a serious bug. Can you report it?
In the game while that happens open the menu and select Report a bug. Title it something like "Orbit lines turn black" and write a little description about when you see it happening and what do you see.
@AndrewGarrison are you aware of this bug?

    @Insanity where is that button?

    5.6 years ago
  • Profile image

@swope here you've got it used in a monster truck like chasis

    5.6 years ago
  • Profile image

@swope I want to make one but I don't have time (too many projects at the same time) Judging on how shocks work I'm sure that would work. If you want I can make a test of the concept

Keep in mind that throat is limited to 0.001, negative nozzles can be messy, high pressures lead to inefficient vaccum engines and @Kell may have a heart attack if he finds out they're not stock

Can you share a screenshot? The orbit trajectory is light blue for me

If you can't do it stock (sometimes it's too hard) you can go to the bottom of the xml file to a place called Connections.
There you can see that the format of the simpler connections
    connection partAid partBid partAnode partBnode
You have to know the ids and the attachment node number. The easiest way I've found is adding two struts, one connected to each node you want to join. Check the struts ids, they should only be connected to one part each.
In connections now you'll see two new connections, one for each strut, let's call them connection a and connection b. Now copy the info in connection b about the part you want to connect, not the strut, and paste it where the strut info of connection a is. Then delete connection b, save and go to the editor to remove the two struts.

@yopo The thing is that this may add too much complexity for the average user
For the campaign mode I would love to see a hardcore mode where parts have integrity and you have to test them to see the integrity they have. Where parts cant fail if you don't test them and you can reuse the vehicles but if you don't test them enough it may have a failure

  • Profile image

@yopo it's just that @AnotherFireFox wants to explore the possibility of making a mod about this, but we have to wait until the devs release the mod tools
And I answered @Kell because he said ComplexRockets, and that's the name of our modding group

@PlanesofJundroo nah np, Solid Rocket Booster. So you can only control direction with rcs or reaction wheels and you can't throttle

@Warbrine in what way did they break your code? The new engines?

    5.6 years ago

@PlanesofJundroo or a transformer with the hinges and rotators

@PlanesofJundroo moar replicas and moar landers. Land with SRBs in Luna

@MWG4386 I think it's because it's not fully implemented, like the tags

    5.6 years ago

@KraZIvan I don't know the details, you should ask @AndrewGarrison

    +1 5.6 years ago

@MWG4386 I can understand why, there's no easy way to find it, you have to type it manually

@RogueSteward if you want me to notice your answer you should tag me in the message, it's clear enough in FAQ as @SupremeDorian pointed

They've answered this a lot of times and it's getting frustrating. You have a FAQ button where they clearly say it's going to be made.

I think it's clear that they're working hard on the game and they have to make a solid game before going through the process of adapting the UI for mobiles and porting everything.

We don't have mod tools or the planet builder yet and those are main features of the game, so keep calm and stop the speculations, the mobile version is going to be released sooner or later and the PC version too (because you have to remember this is a early access in Steam right now, not a full game)

@KraZIvan @JastroOne1 we have to catch them all
