@Rizkyman what's the thing you don't like? Biome distribution, terrain, colour palette...?
If there's enough people requesting it we can look into having both versions available, but it needs to have support because updating both is time consuming.

@AnotherFireFox what I mean is that craft roll axis is not easy to determine, it's not always aligned with the pilot position or with the thrust vector direction, that could give an imprecise twr value

    4.7 years ago
  • Profile image

@AnotherFireFox imagine your thrust vector doesn't point forward but to a side, or that you have engines canceling eachother

@AndrewGarrison I've found a bug with the interface between Vizzy and the input controllers. Setting a variable doesn't pass the value to the input controller, but updating it does
In this example it has a piston using the "ra" variable and without the change variable by 0 block it doesn't read the change in the variable, not sure why.

@AnotherFireFox what matrix calculations do you need that can't be done now?

    4.7 years ago
  • Profile image

@AnotherFireFox I wonder if it's possible to make a list of lists, that would be a matrice
For spacial matrices a list of vectors should work

    4.7 years ago
  • Profile image

@AnotherFireFox no, you have to make it show through xml, you can't just type it ingame

    4.7 years ago
  • Profile image

@huuminberd You have to make it visible through xml, iirc Graal used that in some of the engines

    4.7 years ago
  • Profile image

@huuminberd you can separate throttle per engine relatively easy just by using variables as inputs

Maybe it's just something to do with the joysticks, that may be configurable in the key bindings

@Meltingvenus @huuminberd but the subroutine is in a parallel thread, so it both the main and the subroutine run simultaneously. You can force it to work like a function with some tricks, but I would use custom blocks instead for that now that we have them easily accessible

What you're trying to do is really complex, you need deep understanding of some math, physics and sr2 concepts before you can even approach such a program.
There are some already done self landing rockets, you should start by checking those and trying to understand how they work.

@Chtite451SR2 in the game itself you should see a button that says report a bug

    4.8 years ago
  • Profile image

@Gn0m in mobile devices you need an external keyboard afaik, if you have the ipad keyboard go to settings and find the keybinding for the console (or set it to a key you want)

    4.8 years ago
  • Profile image

@LukeJ848 first you should post a bug report. Open the game and launch a craft that can reproduce your issue. Then in the menu you should see an option to report a bug, click on it and write a description as clear as possible about your issue.
Then ping me in the comments of the bug report.

@LukeJ848 then maybe it's an issue with the key bindings?
If not try assigning other thing to your roll keys, like throttle, to check if they work and the issue is in the game side

@crowxe The other crafts orbit has nothing to do with ESS, it may be a bug in SR2 and if you think they're too dark you can always change the game settings to increase brightness

    @SyzygySoldier there are some workarounds

    @crowxe @Panthadroo there's this suggestion

    4.8 years ago
  • Profile image

@NoIDontWanna Not only circles but most curves, the smaller a orbit gets the easiest it is to notice the issue. If you play ESS and try to orbit Ilithos you can get really weird behaviours like the craft being locked around the planet in position

    4.8 years ago
  • Profile image

@SupremeDorian don't think so sadly but you can still send a broadcast to turn on the other program just before separation

@AndrewGarrison would it be possible to have a expression that returns year, day, hour, minute, second, total ms?
Total ms being the amount of ms since the start of the sandbox.

@bspawn sorry to be 2 months late, you didn't ping me in the previous one.
I should've explained my point better reading back:
In the throat size slider you are changing the value between less than 100% and 100%. In real life you can achieve this by clogging the throat, for example making the walls thick to reduce the internal section, without any external change. The diameter of the throat section can be the max throat size plus the minimum wall thickness and changes to the throat size can keep the old throat section diameter and just increase the wall.

I'm sure it is related to a lot of things. Some parts work differently, physics may be different too and you may have higher graphic settings in sr2 than sp.

For me the experience is the other way around. In my Pocophone sr2 runs better than in my laptop.

@AndrewGarrison maybe something like the subassembly folder but for custom instructions and expressions can come in handy. Doesn't really matter they don't update in all programs after changing things but can help reduce time when building things.

One custom expression I would like to have easy to access (and may even be an useful block for the stock options) is cap throttle to X twr (it's an easy thing to calculate but annoying to do it each time and may not be obvious for some users)

EDIT: To clarify, it is min of 100 and X*100*gravity*mass/maxThrust

@AndrewGarrison is there any way to keep custom instructions and expressions in the designer and not only per craft?
