From what i know from the last version of the game, non player controlled crafts cannot lock heading which means they won’t be able to control where they point. Not sure if they have fixed this. New feature just works like a normal broadcast block, but in between crafts
@Starborn yes I have yet to add some form of reaction control, about the the way of producing thrust in a vacuum, I do have rocket engines on the ssto, they are hidden inside the shroud where the jet engines are located.
@DragoranosSR2 i was referring to what @samthefox said: "water is literally hydrogen and oxygen, making it oxidizer and fuel simultaneously (in my mind)"
@YaMomzBox420 ok, but what if the right ascension of the ascending node of both orbits are different as well as the inclination of the orbit, how would I be able manipulate those 2 differences and return 1 angle? I haven't tried calculating it but would it be the average between the 2 differences?
@YaMomzBox420 i have another question, i can't seem to find it in the webpages and books shared but is there a way to find a difference in orbital planes in degrees or radians? I need to know this in order to do a plane change as the formula requires the angle
@Pedro if i stay on test flight, the update should still take place when it comes out right? Sorry i only started using test flight since the last beta update
@sflanker by any chance, do you know of any other collections of custom expressions and vizzy programs that manipulate vectors? It turns out that directly rotating a vector does not solve the problem I'm having
@Starborn here's the ssto I added a program to control roll since the rocket configuration does not use roll but is required by the craft in the atmosphere, the program isn't very complex though. The craft also isn't fully complete yet(both vizzy and the physical craft). All the program does for now is it takes-off from the runway and puts the craft in a sub-orbital ballistic trajectory with an apoapsis of about 65km. Do add improvements and share it with me if you want :)
@TweedleAerospace actually i need to use it as i use vectors for steering in my landing program and i have no way of limiting AOA. So i was thinking of still using vectors but now breaking it down to pitch and heading so that i can modify the pitch to not exceed the max AOA
@TweedleAerospace that is getting the craft's current pitch and heading, i want to convert any directional vector regardless of where my craft is pointing
could you elaborate more?
+1 2.1 years ago@RamenNoodlesXVII i know its been very late but i have been really busy with exams so i might only release it during june, sorrryyy :(
+1 2.6 years ago@SmarsoAreospace are you ios or android?
+1 2.6 years ago@YaMomzBox420 this is really helpful, thanks so much man
+1 2.6 years agoFrom what i know from the last version of the game, non player controlled crafts cannot lock heading which means they won’t be able to control where they point. Not sure if they have fixed this. New feature just works like a normal broadcast block, but in between crafts

+1 3.1 years ago@LandedBooster if you want to track a rocket, you can just turn on the 'look at command port' option in the camera in the editor without using vizzy
2.1 years ago@DragoranosSR2 i was referring to what @samthefox said: "water is literally hydrogen and oxygen, making it oxidizer and fuel simultaneously (in my mind)"
2.1 years ago@SamTheFox uh, nuclear engines do not use oxidizers
2.1 years ago@RamenNoodlesXVII thanks
2.6 years ago@YaMomzBox420 Alright, i'll go take a look at it again
2.6 years ago@YaMomzBox420 ok, but what if the right ascension of the ascending node of both orbits are different as well as the inclination of the orbit, how would I be able manipulate those 2 differences and return 1 angle? 2.6 years ago@YaMomzBox420 absolutely right
2.6 years ago@YaMomzBox420 yeah that would be great if you could
2.6 years ago@YaMomzBox420 yes but I can’t find the equations to find what I want so I was wondering if anyone knew
2.6 years ago@Pedro if i stay on test flight, the update should still take place when it comes out right? Sorry i only started using test flight since the last beta update
2.6 years ago@Pedro ah yes sorry for the confusion i caused myself, I found it thx
2.6 years ago@Pedro oh wait, haha I didn’t see it sorry, because i was on test flight
2.6 years ago@Pedro could you give us a rough idea of when the update will be for mobile? Maybe in terms of weeks or months
2.6 years agoWhy does it say the post was made yesterday when it has been 3 days
2.6 years ago@SR2BART yes I hope they fix it too
2.7 years ago@Vedhaspace well that’s sad cause my pc will be down for some time
2.7 years agoPitch and heading?
2.7 years agoPrograde in what form?
2.7 years agoIs the mobile release date for beta or official?
2.7 years ago@SCaxaR thank youuu
2.9 years ago@ChalxAerospace thx
3.0 years ago@ChalxAerospace which fUNK expression is it exactly?
3.0 years ago@ChalxAerospace nop
3.0 years ago@sflanker ?
3.0 years ago@YaMomzBox420 aight thx
3.0 years ago@sflanker by any chance, do you know of any other collections of custom expressions and vizzy programs that manipulate vectors? It turns out that directly rotating a vector does not solve the problem I'm having
3.0 years ago@SmurfResearchX btw how did you derive the formula its quite short and quick
3.0 years ago@SmurfResearchX haha thx for ur help :)
3.0 years ago@sflanker thanks! This is soo useful
3.0 years ago@SmurfResearchX yep i did, but the one you got here is for earth right? i guess that will be useful too since i play on RSS.
3.0 years ago@ChalxAerospace thank you

3.1 years ago@FriendlyFin The block does not have the option to change the proportional, derivative and integral values my fren
3.1 years ago@Hannah1212 alright, thanks for the advice
3.1 years ago@TritonAerospace alright let me get back to you within a week
3.1 years ago@Hannah1212 thanks! By any chance, do you know of any PID vizzy programs that I can download and use for my reference?
3.1 years agoso do u want 2 separate angles(horizontal and vertical angles) or just one?
3.1 years ago@TweedleAerospace actually i need to use it as i use vectors for steering in my landing program and i have no way of limiting AOA. So i was thinking of still using vectors but now breaking it down to pitch and heading so that i can modify the pitch to not exceed the max AOA
3.3 years ago@TweedleAerospace If it is too complicated to explain but can be achieved, what about uploading a craft with the vizzy and let me take a look?
3.3 years ago@TweedleAerospace that is getting the craft's current pitch and heading, i want to convert any directional vector regardless of where my craft is pointing
3.3 years ago@TweedleAerospace what do you mean?
3.3 years ago@NebulaX good point
3.4 years ago@NebulaX sed
