@Zi7ar21 The ion engine in SR1 is already massively overpowered compared to a real ion engine. There will be a sandbox mode where money doesn't matter.
@Authros Unfortunately, adding additional pieces to a craft in flight will require a docking port. If a player was really comfortable with XML, they could XML hack an additional docking port onto an existing craft in flight if they were motivated enough.
@momoking In SR2, we have put a lot of effort into making sure the Mod API has a lot of access to features of the core game. In what ways do you feel the modding support is lacking in SimplePlanes.
@Sharandeep981 We will likely do some beta testing on mobile before doing the final release on mobile, but that won't be until late this year / early next year.
@SpiritusRaptor I am hesitant as well. If your crafts undergo some form of rapid unplanned disassembly, then that's probably a bug. Since I wrote the code for SR1, then I can't blame anyone but myself.
@CRJ900Pilot @CaesiciusPlanes Yep, we will have rover wheels, which will be based on the resizable wheels from SimplePlanes. You will also be able to make space planes with landing gear.
@NazyaMilitare We still haven't named it yet. We are waiting to discover more planets before assigning names. But we did have several helpful comments on that post. I think Bob is the crowd favorite. We will be sure to...uh...take that into consideration.
@Supercraft888 Anything should be possible with modding, but I'd like to support the resource packs like we did in SR1 (which I incorrectly called mods).
@mjdfx150529 That's a good point. I agree it would be nice to know if a rocket was XML-modded, and maybe even prevent those from being used in Campaign Mode.
@CeeToTheZee I think you will definitely be able to build better stuff in SR2 and have more interesting environments to play around in. We still plan on releasing update 1.8 for SimplePlanes after we get SR2 in early access. We're not abandoning it, but we do plan to spend more dev hours on SR2 in the future.
@Supercraft888 Nice eye! We have been experimenting with texturing on parts. We plan to have a slider to increase/decrease the detailing from the texturing. Also, the fuselage part will have several variations of textures that can be cycled through.
@Wadzworth929 We will need to think about that. It looks like Apollo's were on the side of the command module. We will need to add parachutes that can attach like that.
@GermanWarMachine I'm not aware of a way to do infinite fuel, but I'm sure some clever player out there will figure it out. If not, there's always mod support.
@Awsomur The nav sphere makes it fairly easy to get into space. Rendezvousing and docking are actually easier in SR2 since we will have maneuver nodes.
@Sharandeep981 yep, we plan on supporting multiple command pods on a craft so you could separate a craft and then take control of it. So you should be able to do missions like SpaceX's re-usable boosters or the Apollo missions.
@Sharandeep981 we are going to launch on Steam early access first and then we'll probably do a round of beta testing on mobile before we do a final release towards the end of the year.

6.7 years ago@MrTaco Yes, we will have a warp to maneuver node feature.
6.7 years ago@minertyler100 They've got to be pretty straight to make a connection.

6.7 years ago@CoBros2 Yes
6.7 years ago@123Planebuilder Please, check the FAQ
6.7 years ago@ChromeGamer25 We will have parachutes that can attach to the sides of stuff.
6.7 years ago@Lyra We hope to add astronauts in the future, but it won't make early access.
+1 6.7 years ago@Sharandeep981 We will likely do some beta testing on mobile before doing the final release on mobile, but that won't be until late this year / early next year.

+2 6.7 years ago@22zxSnakeEyes The second quarter of the year: April - June. But we are looking more like summer now for the early access release.
6.7 years ago@CRJ900Pilot @CaesiciusPlanes Yep, we will have rover wheels, which will be based on the resizable wheels from SimplePlanes. You will also be able to make space planes with landing gear.
6.7 years ago@foxyguard We will release on Steam Early Access first, most likely this summer.
+1 6.7 years ago@Owl2 A small magnetic force is applied to assist in docking.
6.7 years ago@deokil1108 Not the current parachute, so we will need to add side attaching parachutes.
6.7 years ago@mikethespike056 Please elaborate on the antigravity.
6.7 years ago@NazyaMilitare We still haven't named it yet. We are waiting to discover more planets before assigning names. But we did have several helpful comments on that post. I think Bob is the crowd favorite. We will be sure to...uh...take that into consideration.
6.7 years ago@ddweck32 I feel bad you had to come all the way here to ask me that. I've really been slacking on the tournaments. Sorry about that!
6.7 years ago@Supercraft888 Anything should be possible with modding, but I'd like to support the resource packs like we did in SR1 (which I incorrectly called mods).
+2 6.7 years ago@ArrowheadDesignCompany We won't release on mobile until the final release, which won't be until late this year or early next year.
+1 6.7 years ago@Awsomur No such thing as dumb questions, only dumb peo.....I mean, you're welcome!

+2 6.7 years ago@SigmaTwelve There is only one docking port size.
6.7 years ago@Sharandeep981 I'm not sure how long it took to dock initially. Yes, there is a magnetic force that pulls things together to help assist in docking.
+1 6.7 years ago@AtlasSP Not yet. It can be tricky, but we will keep thinking of ways to make it easier.
6.7 years ago@iLikeipads SR2 will play in landscape, not portrait like SR1.
6.7 years ago@PriyanshuRoy We don't have any air breathing engines yet, but someday I'm sure we will.
6.7 years ago@Supercraft888 Nice eye! We have been experimenting with texturing on parts. We plan to have a slider to increase/decrease the detailing from the texturing. Also, the fuselage part will have several variations of textures that can be cycled through.

6.7 years ago@PorkyClown3 The command pod is unmanned.
+1 6.7 years ago@bananajoe322 We will have a Mods section here on SimpleRockets.com, just like SimplePlanes.com has.
6.7 years ago@Mod Curved wings are a possibility.
6.7 years ago@Daekstor yep, the final release will be on iOS, Android, PC and Mac.
6.7 years ago@TheBeastMaster yes, we will add re-entry effects. It's been a very highly requested feature.
+1 6.7 years ago@GermanWarMachine I'm not aware of a way to do infinite fuel, but I'm sure some clever player out there will figure it out. If not, there's always mod support.
+1 6.7 years ago@Awsomur The nav sphere makes it fairly easy to get into space. Rendezvousing and docking are actually easier in SR2 since we will have maneuver nodes.
6.7 years ago@JoshMan yes, you can make any group of parts a subassembly and use that in other craft designs.
+1 6.7 years ago@JoshMan no plans for mining yet. We will have resizable wheels for rovers.
6.7 years ago@imadium Currently there are only 6, but we plan to make it support any number.
+1 6.7 years ago@Sharandeep981 Yep, we will have maneuver nodes.
+3 6.7 years ago@Sharandeep981 You can scale these legs down quite a bit to let them work on smaller craft.
+2 6.7 years ago@drgunblood we are slow! We are still planning to start early access in Q2.
+2 6.7 years ago@Sharandeep981 yep, we plan on supporting multiple command pods on a craft so you could separate a craft and then take control of it. So you should be able to do missions like SpaceX's re-usable boosters or the Apollo missions.
+3 6.7 years ago@Jetspeed1001 You can make giant solar panels with this part.
6.7 years ago@TheNoobSlayer Cool, thanks. I didn't know about those.
6.7 years ago@WNP78 hard to say for sure but probably around tree fiddy.
+1 6.7 years ago@trumpetguy The solar panels automatically rotate to face the sun.
+1 6.7 years ago@Sharandeep981 we are going to launch on Steam early access first and then we'll probably do a round of beta testing on mobile before we do a final release towards the end of the year.
