@jamesPLANESii not currently, I've just been tweaking it over time. I also hacked in an image in the background to make that Saturn V, which I think would be a useful feature for players.
@GINGER01 The corners can be smoothly changed from 100% round to 0% round (hard edge), which is an improvement over the 3 corner styles in SP. Each corner can be changed individually.
@Ryn176 Implementing planet rendering has changed the way a lot of stuff works. Everything needs to be rendered a bit differently if it's in an atmosphere vs in space (or on a planet that has no atmosphere). To support those different environments, we had to rewrite all of the shaders.
@SledDriver You won't be able to turn off the mesh and customize its appearance. Maybe a different kind of rotator could be designed to help players make their own landing legs. There is some wobble, and I can only imagine that it increases with the size of the craft, unfortunately.
@Ihavenorealideawhatiamdoing We will first launch early access on Steam and then when the game is getting close to final release we will most likely do some beta testing on iOS and Google Play. That won't happen until much later this year.
@EternalDarkness Fuselages will have buoyancy and some planets will have water, so hopefully those two things play nicely together. No plans for prop engines.
@Awsomur no, they can be extended and retracted as many times as you want with no fear of them wearing out.
6.7 years ago@Skywalket We definitely need a barge landing pad!
6.7 years ago@SpaceX4Life We will likely do a round of beta testing on mobile before final release, but that won't be until much later this year.
6.7 years ago@Awsomur No, that's too much, but we will make it easy to add new planets so I'm sure modded solar systems will do that.
6.7 years ago@Exospaceman we are planning to do a 1.8 update after SR2 is in Early Access on Steam.
6.7 years ago@MrDoolittle @InternationalAircraftCompany Thanks, it's good to have your feedback. I'll see if we can make that happen.
6.7 years ago@Arnmra none yet, but we do plan on adding re-entry effects. It's been highly demanded by players.
6.7 years ago@Ryn176 Radii = plural of radius.
6.7 years ago@Tully2001 Is that a vote for leaving in manual value entry for fuselage settings?
6.7 years ago@jamesPLANESii You are correct, it cannot do the twist.
6.7 years ago@Avro683Lancaster We got rid of the value inputs.
6.7 years ago@LimitedShelf568 Only would be possible via modding.
6.7 years ago@SigmaTwelve no, but we'll have a special fairing part eventually.
6.7 years ago@NerdsGalore You will be able to easily transfer fuel between fuel tanks during flight. Can you elaborate on thrust limiters?
6.7 years ago@Ihavenorealideawhatiamdoing no plans for weapons.
6.7 years ago@jamesPLANESii not currently, I've just been tweaking it over time. I also hacked in an image in the background to make that Saturn V, which I think would be a useful feature for players.
6.7 years ago@Bmcclory I just finished docking last week, so it is possible to re-create that mission.
6.7 years ago@GINGER01 The corners can be smoothly changed from 100% round to 0% round (hard edge), which is an improvement over the 3 corner styles in SP. Each corner can be changed individually.
6.7 years ago@chancey21 Not 100% sure yet, but we're going to design several procedural parts like this, so it is very possible.
6.7 years ago@EternalDarkness No plans currently to put these in SimplePlanes.
6.7 years ago@Alienbeef0421 I wish!
6.7 years ago@chancey21 Yes they are (or will be). Thanks!
6.8 years ago@Ryn176 Implementing planet rendering has changed the way a lot of stuff works. Everything needs to be rendered a bit differently if it's in an atmosphere vs in space (or on a planet that has no atmosphere). To support those different environments, we had to rewrite all of the shaders.
6.8 years agoSure, I don't have any problems with it.
6.8 years ago@Jarebear10 We do have plans for something like that, but that won't be until after early access release.
6.8 years ago@Jarebear10 Not sure yet, but probably around 8 on PC, some with moons.
6.8 years ago@Ryn176 We've rewritten every shader for SR2.
6.8 years ago@Cape6 Yes, fuselage pieces will be very customizable. You can make square edges, rounded edges, and even a combination of the two.
6.8 years ago@Planefun Someday we hope to have humans. Our command pods are not rated for humans yet, so everything is unmanned.
6.8 years ago@SledDriver You won't be able to turn off the mesh and customize its appearance. Maybe a different kind of rotator could be designed to help players make their own landing legs. There is some wobble, and I can only imagine that it increases with the size of the craft, unfortunately.
6.8 years ago@Fjorge Nope :) it's just a shadow.
6.8 years ago@carrot2110 Yes, you will be able to launch many crafts into space at once.
6.8 years ago@mikethespike056 No plans for that currently, but docking is very hard and that would be nice.
6.8 years ago@Ihavenorealideawhatiamdoing There will be many, many ways.
6.8 years ago@MrTaco 6x symmetry is max.
6.8 years ago@Bmcclory No, we're still struggling with what to name it.
6.8 years ago@Ryn176 Yes, price will vary with size.
6.8 years ago@SledDriver Yes, they can be wobbly if you attach very heavy stuff together with them. It's a limitation of the physics engine, unfortunately.
6.8 years ago@Shmexysmpilot Not currently. Same limitations as SP.
6.8 years ago@Ihavenorealideawhatiamdoing We will first launch early access on Steam and then when the game is getting close to final release we will most likely do some beta testing on iOS and Google Play. That won't happen until much later this year.
6.8 years ago@chancey21 yep! They are the same lovely pistons from SP.
6.8 years ago@Griffinthedragon The tools will be at your disposal. If you are creative enough you could make it happen.
6.8 years ago@Why7090 No, it will be a separate purchase.
6.8 years ago@GermanWarMachine Yep
6.8 years ago@EternalDarkness Fuselages will have buoyancy and some planets will have water, so hopefully those two things play nicely together. No plans for prop engines.
6.8 years ago@MrTaco No, but we may have a simulation mode where the player can set some stuff like that. A simulation inside a simulation.
6.8 years ago@RedVine Yep, size typically increases price with the customizable parts.
6.8 years agoThey did it! That was absolutely amazing.
6.8 years ago@Cape6 No plans for weapons.
6.8 years ago@dootdootbananabus Most likely we will have some jet engines too.
