@SwanHelium you should try the reply button next time lol
Docking does take some skill, I know there’s a vizzy or 2 for it, but to do it manually, you need a docking port (obviously lol), some RCS (it’s possible to dock without but it’s much, much harder), and a camera on the docking port without collisions (this one is optional, I just find it useful to help me line up)
Imma link a tutorial from somewhere because explaining it here may take a while… click here
Edit: there’s a few there
@pianoplane ok
I’ll accept, but I’d like to be able to to some crew missions with my new launcher, and it’s shuttle isn’t small
Because it takes space for interiors and well, they may also want some room to live depending on how far they go…
However, I know some tricks to build small…
@pianoplane ok… we explore other solar systems, and have begun colonizing luna, we can do this…
Also, what is this about? Colonizing the moons of droo/solar system?
Also, I once put a probe in Luna orbit on a sounding rocket with a very small second stage… (Tinker panel was used)
Oh yea, why small rockets? Because TweedleAerospace has a good point, if you want your flights to be at least semi realistic, the rocket must be pretty big…
Especially if it’s kept vanilla and tinker panel/XML editing isn’t used
It’s a fictional system, but I should be (maybe) able to answer those questions:
Vulco’s lava is 15.6 degrees because it’s water, since lava doesn’t exist in this game…
The rest would probably be theories if you want to think about how it would have actually formed if it was like any other solar system in real life, but otherwise, dev(s) made the planets so they chose how they wanted the planets
@118Industries 3 hours later I’m here, and the post isn’t deleted lol
(Why did I say this? Idrk [>>]) If you want to chat, (I doubt you have an account yet, I’m just pointing it out [sry if wrong]) there’s discord too ;)
@DrexxVolv I had the idea of docking ports too, but the elevator was my final idea
What can also work is a crane, pulling the payload up, the truck backing up to be under the payload, and then lowering
The easiest way just needs a stable place to hang, and a drood or 2
😎
Nice, about your truck loading thing, why don’t you have the droods put the payload on a platform on a piston, elevate the platform to the trucks level, and then push in the truck? Just suggesting ;)
@DrexxVolv I was thinking using pistons on the edges to stabilize
But Idk if it can work, because if the docking ports are contributing to the movement, it won't really work...
@DrexxVolv 🤔
3.5 years ago@DrexxVolv lol perhaps…
3.5 years ago@DrexxVolv lol ok
3.5 years agoI also must know what that pilot was taking… (jkjkjkjkjk)
@DrexxVolv lol ok…
3.5 years agothen why is there a rocket sticking out of an ocean???? lol
What did you do? (Jk)
3.5 years ago@SwanHelium yourwelcome :)

Ok… what do you need help with?
3.5 years ago@DrexxVolv yes lol
3.5 years ago@DrexxVolv yes
3.5 years agoVanilla tastes nice lol (hehe)
It’s a change for once…
Kinda interesting…
3.5 years ago@Zenithspeed ok
3.5 years agoWelcome to this community ;)
3.5 years ago@pianoplane ik, I’m just saying I can
3.5 years agoIt would be a useful first flight though
Also, I can probably get to all the moons in a single flight
3.5 years agoI have some stuff…
@pianoplane ok

@pianoplane …
3.5 years agoIs it just colonizing moons?
I’m sorry for this but I just want to understand :/
@pianoplane ok… why does it need to be small though? It’s a little confusing…
3.5 years agoAlso, what is this alliance going to be doing?
@pianoplane ok… can you please answer my questions before I actually decide to join? I would like to know a few things about this
3.5 years agoI have no idea what to say for this…
3.5 years ago@pianoplane ok… we explore other solar systems, and have begun colonizing luna, we can do this…

3.5 years agoI don’t really have any ideas for you though sry…

Put wings (not structural panels) on an electric motor, put a fuel tank/strut between them
3.5 years agoI can show a photo if you don’t understand
@RocketScienceCo ok, and yourwelcome
3.5 years agoWe may be searching for a commercial launcher for a certain mission of ours…
We will see 😉
@RocketScienceCo you pinged me but you exceeded the max pings per message, so it didn’t ping me, it’s 3 pings per message
3.5 years agoYourwelcome btw 🙃
@TweedleAerospace 1: ok
3.5 years ago2: 🤔🤨🤔🤨🤔
@TweedleAerospace I was thinking about maybe fall damage killing droods too, but I wasn’t 100% sure
3.5 years ago@TweedleAerospace why did I think that (sry)
3.5 years ago@DrexxVolv 😆🤣
3.5 years ago@118Industries ok, that's a pretty good idea
3.5 years ago@DrexxVolv yep
3.5 years agoLol
3.5 years agoI must agree, tethers can be fun
@118Industries somehow I didn't see this ping facepalm
3.5 years agoYou can also try more than one piston, one on each corner as well as the center
👌
3.5 years agoJust saying this, but if you need any help, I’m here too ;)
Gl on that redesign :)
@TweedleAerospace yes, it’s pretty confusing, or at least they can rename it to something like “craft suggestions” or something like that

@118Industries it seems to confuse people… the devs are most likely to see this if you put it in the suggestions page
3.5 years agoSuggestion?
3.5 years agoIf so, did you put this in suggestions page?

@TweedleAerospace you brought me here…

@DrexxVolv oof... sad
3.6 years agowell…

@DrexxVolv lol
3.6 years agoI'm just curious, do you have discord?
@DrexxVolv ?
