I don't think you can. The real stats won't translate into the game 1:1. The fuel/oxidizer ratio can differ between rockets using Methalox, the fuel density changes depending on the temperature and other factors, etc.
You'll have to either use the tinker panel or have clipping parts
A plasma engine isn't very realistic. If by plasma engine you mean an engine that shoots out extremely high-voltage arcs to generate plasma and therefore thrust, such an engine would only work inside an atmosphere because it needs some sort of medium (air) to heat up.
In such case, a simple electric propeller would be more efficient.
And if you take the air to space with you, then you just end up with a less efficient and more dangerous ion engine.
Also, a "nuclear ion drive" is an ion drive that draws electricity from an RTG, so basically you're suggesting an RTG, which I support.
@MethaManAircraft I want to set up an automatic station with a small computer (such as the Raspberry Pi) to record, decode, and upload the pictures automatically. During a good day, there can about five or six usable satellite passes, each lasting roughly ten minutes.
And by the end of this year, it is possible that a new Russian geostationary satellite will be constantly streaming real-time footage of Europe and Africa
@AN2Felllla thanks. That's because I'm more focusing on the METEOR-M 2 satellite which transmits digital pictures with a 1km/pixel resolution, while NOAA uses analog transmission and has a three times lower resolution (3km/pix). Also, pictures from NOAA are all false-colour, because it only has two colour channels, while M2 transmits three
@pedro16797 that's what I do when waiting between satellite passes. Sometimes, the Czech Air Force can be heard at frequencies very close to the ones used by the weather satellites
@AtlantikWall45 I made both a forum post and a suggestion post, because I've seen some people saying that we should post to the forums and others to suggestions
@MarioG that's what I've been doing, but I miss the solar tracking. Not a big issue in sandbox where the looks are more important than functionality, but I imagine that people who will want both looks and functionality in career mode would find this useful
@swope I'd love a part reliability system, although I would make it optional depending on the difficulty, so that players coming from other sims wouldn't suddenly have to face such a mechanic
it's a rover y'all should rather thank all the engineers, scientists and pilots that were behind the entire mission and made all of that possible in the first place
Actually, I don't think it does yet. There's still a lot of unfinished and unimplemented features, and many people judge the game by it's first impression. The worst thing that could happen is a big youtuber playing it; a short burst of activity that would result in thousands of abandoned accounts belonging to people who would likely not return because the game they came to know was not at all finished and lacked many great features. (also, Jelly in SP...)
@Tully2001 wait no I was being dumb; I did enable the fuel lines when I was trying the bottom connected fuselage, but I forgot to enable it when I connected it to the side, thank you so much
@rcor Steam Play/Proton won't help you. Try using good old Wine and enable virtual desktop. I imagine it is similar to SP when it comes to Wine, so you can check out this tutoriall
I believe the clouds are fine as they made them. Andrew said that the game is smooth on an iPhone X, which means that most phones that can actually run it at sufficient speed will not have a problem with clouds. Besides, you could just turn them off, if that is an option.
Also, I am very confident that the developers are more than aware of this, and will require a bit (much) more complex code for a game where there is no "coordinate zero" (planets are round, planets themselves move)

RocketFan69: Yeah das cool I will watch from my plane, am flying around the launch site
Elongated-muskrat: I will be landing my shuttle soon, too DerekSP launched a rocket from the Launch Pad
DerekSP: Alright guys, I'm in orbit, I will do my burn to get me to the sun
DerekSP: Ok, I'm done, could we fast forward the time of this server
Elongated-muskrat: OMG no! I'm landing the shuttle, I need real time
DerekSP: Sounds fine, I'll wait. The trip would take several days IRL
Elongated-muskrat: I'm landed, go ahead
RocketFan69: No do not forward time I'm roleplaying with my friend in a plane
DerekSP: Can't you just land for a minute?
RocketFan69: Come on man, I'll have to go away soon, just wait a bit

@RailfanEthan actually, it would not be too hard to create a converter script that could easily take creations from SP and subsidize missing parts using something else. At the very least, fuselages and wings should be pretty much the exactly same thing, with SR2 offering more customization.
I am pretty sure that the .xml structure will be similar enough that, idk, a rather simple python script could do it.
I dont think weapons are a good idea. It will be singleplayer only so there is no purpose to them. And space exploration should be a peaceful and international act.

@DPSAircraftManufacturer I remember you from SP too, I think we both made engine subassemblies if I recall correctly
+1 5.2 years ago@Chancey21 @PorkyClown3 nah it was too dark, still working on it
+1 5.2 years ago@PositivePlanes yeah, now I realized. I've been away from the game for too long, I got used to Reddit where you can't edit titles

+1 5.5 years ago@Icantthinkofaname well, there's no curvature visible on the picture, and the satellite is just driving on a track suspended from the dome

5.8 years ago@mjdfx150529 I did that, it said that it can not be mirrored
