@RudimentaryCheezit that is true, but that’s a bit costlier and heavier than wheels or water landings, especially for something as beefy as the Patriot. The rocket you’re likely talking about is the Crew Dragon. There was a planned variant with retrorockets, but I’m not sure if it’s still a thing.
@Zenithspeed it’s not a matter of if. When your armour does fail, it will all come down with a force you cannot comprehend. Everything you resist doesn’t make way for new stuff; it simply sits there waiting for the chance to strike. The longer you wait, the fuller the backlog, and you’ll be swamped.
I did this myself. Twice. The first time nearly killed me, and the second time snuffed what humanity I had left and spawned a beta-trial version of PTSD. It took me over a year to break free of my little prison, and the spacing out ceased a month or two after that. The only reason the second meltdown didn’t end me is because I only had five months or so of backlog. Despite this, it still proved quite grave.
If you melt down, you will have no ability to ask for help; if anything, you will deny it because your brain does not want to believe that it is helpless, you won’t want to accept that you are losing yourself. In a final ploy to have any semblance of meaning left, it will shut out all notions of help because it needs to feel strong. This apathy and its accompanying excuses (too late, lack of care, self-depreciation) you are displaying is the alarm you need to heed.
I have been there, and I beg you to not repeat my mistakes. When your will fails, your heart and spirit will be shattered. You must turn it against this growing threat before it’s too late.
@PotterA350 the only solution is to create an actual sphere with tick marks and hook it up to rotators. This will balloon the part count depending on how you build it.
@ZeusSpaceAgency FlightTest is a free Apple product meant for the purposes of testing pre release software. If you own said software, it should pop up.
It can be found in the App Store.
@ivansheppard853 I doubt that’ll happen. Given the polish and effort on JNO relative to SP, it appears that Juno is the flagship game that may phase out SimplePlanes.
@Felixhdz given how promises have panned out in the past, it is likely that the release will be early July, perhaps on the first week. Given that the Fourth of July is also in that timespan, there is a small probability of release on 4.7.2023 because it just happens to work out. This is only considered given their base is in the USA.
@CloakPin that is not what I said.
Missile is on autopilot. Parent craft remains primary. Missile veers off target as if it was using primary craft’s orientation instead of its own.
@CloakPin here’s the thing: the missile has its own controls being monitored and adjusted by a programme. It is not possible for me to control it once it has left.
If my target is off to the right, the missile veers off to the right, but it keeps going because my craft is still not pointed at the target. The missile ends up doing a loop trying to veer towards a target that my craft is not facing.
@TomKerbal I meant an actual war game conducted by military powers, sorry!
Anyways, the way I define complexity lies between possibility and the calculation of said possibilities. The many combinations of a pack of skittles is just as insane as that of chess, but chess is harder to compute, making it more complex. However, a single result from a difficult equation (say, one for calculating the way space time curves in the presence of a Kerr black hole) is still complex because of raw computation rather than possibilities.
I define complicated more similarly to convoluted than to complex; something complex is at its base state whilst something complicated can be simplified.

1.7 years ago@Zenithspeed In my defence, I saw the topic as evolving :\

1.7 years ago@Zenithspeed I am warning you, complacency should not be tolerated! Please focus your efforts on yourself, man.
1.7 years ago@starmango ok, then. Time to misuse the hell out of a shiny toob, I guess ¯_(ツ)_/¯
1.7 years agoBy your logic, how can I trust you :p
1.7 years ago@PotterA350 the only solution is to create an actual sphere with tick marks and hook it up to rotators. This will balloon the part count depending on how you build it.
1.7 years agoIt can indicate roll if you use FD.BankAngle, and you can do the same for FD.Pitch. Sadly, you cannot create a true navball.
1.7 years ago@unk le what?
1.7 years agoThrice is a bit excessive, innit?
1.7 years ago@Pedro I did not realise the P.C. version was costlier.
1.7 years agoAlso, this is cool. I may not be able to burn up my device, but this is still cool.
@SmarsoAero or be a Frenchman.

1.8 years agoI tried this only once, and I got a dance party.
1.8 years ago@FUTUREby322 N Y O O M
1.8 years agoNyoom
1.8 years ago@Jerba y e s .
1.8 years ago@Wenhop perhaps as a quality selector, low, med (what we have now), high, and ultra.
1.8 years ago@TomKerbal o_o
1.8 years ago@TomKerbal it’s gone.
1.8 years agowhere did it go…
@TomKerbal that last part is bloody ominous; I never said that.
1.8 years agoSame thing happened to me with a boat.
1.8 years ago@Dereric the Throttle inputID is what you need.
1.8 years ago@RailfanEthan JNO is the DLC. To ask for more as extra content is a very slippery slope.
1.8 years ago@Periodic not with that attitude :p
1.8 years agoThis is what I use:
1.8 years agoSet [Input] to [dot(CraftPitchAxis, (TargetPosition - Position)) - (0.2 * y(AngularVelocity))]
This is in a Vizzy programme.
Specifically this one?
1.8 years agoWill you launch a boat?
1.8 years ago@AlphaAreospace good luck with that :р
1.8 years ago@ZeusSpaceAgency :)

@ZeusSpaceAgency FlightTest is required.
1.8 years ago@kidsameri if you have iOS, open up TestFlight and the beta should be ominously lurking.
1.8 years ago@RenkoUsami oh, ok.
1.8 years ago@RenkoUsami interesting. I managed to get there with only half of that. Unless you’re talking about actual Earth, this doesn’t add up for me.
1.8 years ago@RenkoUsami that’s a bit much for low orbit.
1.8 years agoCan someone @ me when mobile is given a beta? Thanks
1.8 years ago@ivansheppard853 I doubt that’ll happen. Given the polish and effort on JNO relative to SP, it appears that Juno is the flagship game that may phase out SimplePlanes.

1.8 years agoWhat
1.8 years ago@EpsilonSpaceOrganization :)
1.9 years ago@Tristxan :)
1.9 years ago@CloakPin I see. I’ll have it broadcast to me. Can you please add Iter. I to your new comment? I’m going to use it as a log.
1.9 years ago@CloakPin that is not what I said.

My Mk.II Sentinel has a useable walker programme. It can be found in the main command chip.
