    @V1TAS although there's a lot of value with spacedock hosting, ckan would be super redundant, since the game already handles mod installation itself. I guess the only thing that could be benefited from having ckan is mod auto-updates

    @V1TAS the release posts exist but aren't made public until we ensure the formatting of the release notes is correct. SteamDB is correct, we soft launched before the official release so reviewers didn't have to select a unique branch.

    @mreed2 the documentation clearly says, as you stated, get, not set. To set things you have to pass the variable to the input controllers using [PartRunningTheProgram].FlightProgram.[VariableName]

    @V1TAS I know over discord how they handled it is intercepting the Steam posts by Jundroo to detect new versions being released, this website lacks an API that would provide that info, unless you scrap the release notes for the largest value.

    Thanks for including us in SpaceDock! Our site allows players to upload Crafts, Mods, and more, but SpaceDock offers some neat features that we don't, like the cool graphs.

    I worry that having this site will reduce the number of things being uploaded on spacedock, but if that is ok with you I can link it in the How to mod post. Hopefully, that'll give it some more exposure.

    @Onoob1 @AtlasSP @t4zcomz we started dping what is callled "Localisation", a way to ease the translation of games by having all the text on text files (XML for example as pointed out by Atlas), and we even moved it to in progress.

    Sadly we soon realised it was going to be extremely time consuming, there is a lot of text all over the place in SR2. On top of that we were actively working on career mode, which kept adding even more text and moving things around. So we decided to pause the efforts on translation support until after 1.0, if it is justified (if there are a lot of new players that don't understand english)

    @Airdead I'm sad to hear that. We have implemented hundreds of user suggestions, with the main one being Career Mode, which has taken a long, long time. I'm sorry to hear you don't find any value in the game because there is no star travel.

    @Airdead on a personal note, I like space exploration but find interstellar travel particularly dull. Going in a straight line surrounded by nothing for hours feels a bit pointless, and misses the point of what this game is about in my opinion.

    That said, we decided not to support multiple stars, which simplified many things. Since the game has been long built under the assumption that it should only support one star it isn't feasible to add that feature.

    Of course, there's always room for a mod to try to implement it, but it isn't going to be supported in the stock game unless we change our minds in that regard, which is unlikely.

    @XionmassResearchDevt it is just a cultural reference in appreciation for a very popular show that is warched by dozens of millions, not what I would call something nobody knows. If at any moment we receive a petition to rename it or take down the image from them that would be done immediately, because again, we are using it to show our appreciation for what they do and don't have any intention to mock or annoy them. I would personally be surprised to see any judge ignoring the clear reference because someone started spreading a conspiracy theory.

    @XionmassResearchDevt overthink it as much as you want. I'm a fan of the Hot Ones, the YouTube show that sells the "Last Dab" hot sauce. In the show the sauce is used for the last cuestion. This was the last early access update, thus the last dab. Even the bottle is in the thumbnail as already pointed out! I just removed the name from the bottle to have less risk of infringing any copyright.

    @CORC not having weapons is something I really like about the game. Not every game needs to be about shooting things down or killing others. And for those that want to cause mayhem, it is possible to use the existing parts to make missiles and guns, so the option is there, it's just not convenient.

    Most of the things you propose here were already suggested, so the closed suggestions section is of no harm, your suggestions if just duplicates of existing ones would be either merged with them or disregarded.

    About this post in itself. There were many things the game was lacking for career mode, we have addressed most of them over the entirety of this year, delaying the actual career mode update substantially in benefit of having a more polished game. We can't delay it any more.
    .
    Your first point of things that are necessary include (I'm quoting): something nice to have, something just for those that want to make orbital shipyards, and something you want.
    .
    About the second category, not everyone wants futuristic engines, they would be hardly of any use in a game without interstellar travel, and interstellar travel is not in the scope of the game. Drood tools are also a huge niche thing, and although I agree map view could see some love (I've made plenty of suggestions before joining the team myself) most players don't need orbital maneuvers because they just stay around the home planet.
    .
    We really appreciate the feedback, but don't forget this is what you want to see in the game, not what the game needs or what everyone needs. By having that mindset you are just going to be frustrated because the game isn't a perfect match for your own needs.
    .
    If the game does well after the release of 1.0 there are many things that could see improvements. As I mentioned the map view could get better tools not just for maneuvers but for transfers between planets. Mining would be really cool and we've mentioned in the past comms and science parts would be great to have too. But as of right now those things are totally out of the scope of what we are doing, Jundroo is a very small team, and SimpleRockets 2 is a very small game compared to others in the industry.

    @lordvader0219 with heat damage enabled you should burn relatively quickly, and also start getting drag. The sun corona is pretty high up irl
