@BoeyingOfficial I think we'll probably be able to mod some... the devs are learning that more xml options = better, so imo it's inevitable. They won't just forget about planes...
@JoshMan @Bmcclory there is definitely plans already to make SR2 modding much better than SP. I have a good idea why, and if so then modding is gonna get so much easier at entry level in terms of the things you can do...
We're still shooting to release on Steam Early Access this summer, but we have been known to be late in the past. We plan to keep adding features and responding to player feedback until we feel the game is ready, at which point we will release the final version on all platforms at the same time. This includes iOS, Google Play, Humble, GOG, and of course Steam (Windows and macOS).
@MrTaco I never said hololens would be useful. But if you wanted to edit, it would be pretty damn hard cause you'd have to hold the phone in just the right place while editing.
@MrTaco "apple's AR kit" is not the best, nor the only AR solution out there. Hololens is basically AR but in front of your eyes. Though it's expensive and OTT for SR2/SP. I can't also see how a non-head-mounted AR would be any use, except for just looking at it...
@MrTaco yes. And you can get a headset which has a screen that can go transparent. So you see everything around you, but the headset can also display things on top. Examples
@GR00G0 pretty sure they're procedurally generating a heightmap, as I think was mentioned previously. And I think it's more advanced than just simplex noise.
What if we got rid of "XML modding" altogether, and replaced it with a universal "advanced mode"? That would make things far more accessible to everyone.
@AndrewGarrison what he describes is a Launch Escape System. It's the pointy bit on top and the idea is that if it goes wrong during launch the SRB's inside it light up and fling the crew capsule clear of the magnificent unplanned pyrotechnic display.
SR2 will have most of what SP has, it has already been confirmed that plane parts, wings, (I can only assume atmospheric engines), gear, runways, even the more complex gizmos, will all be included in SR2. It's almost just SP + Space. So I think what you're asking for is what's likely to happen. Which is good. Very good.
Awesome! I was working on a kOS booster autoland in ksp, which I'm sure will get ported across if I get SPLua (or some other name if I change it like I probably will) working in SR2...
@goboygo1 not really... haven't played it for quite a while. I just messed around with the programmable blocks but got bored after a while... like every new game I try, it doesn't take me long to go back to SP :)
@TFM8 yeah, I did have a project along those lines. I wanted to convert it to python 'cause I hate lua but it wasn't working and I had about 5 other projects.
@ShakzDar @Caveman999 is it?

6.3 years agofor #2: already making the weapons mod. There is no mod support yet, nor a game, but I don't care.
+2 6.3 years agoOf course we can't see the crafts, it would be painful to watch and not play and they'd feel obliged to upload more...

+1 6.5 years agoyou're kind of talking about getting multiplayer like it's something you deserve.
6.5 years ago@MrTaco I never said hololens would be useful. But if you wanted to edit, it would be pretty damn hard cause you'd have to hold the phone in just the right place while editing.

6.5 years ago@MrTaco ah, I see you're having trouble seeing outside the apple-sphere. They make it deliberately opaque. How dastardly.
6.5 years ago@MrTaco yes. And you can get a headset which has a screen that can go transparent. So you see everything around you, but the headset can also display things on top. Examples
+1 6.5 years agojust gonna pretend that anyone has an AR headset. Though it could be a good excuse to try and get a hololens off of microsoft.
+1 6.5 years ago@Strikefighter04 the initial beta/early access release won't. But later versions most probably will.

6.6 years ago@Thederpingmemes no, it's completely wrong. Not that it would work anyway
6.6 years agonot only do you suck at script injection but you kinda suck at HTML/JS too, despite the fact you probably copied it RIP
+2 6.6 years agoI doubt it, they don't really moderate the site that much because they have developing to do. Maybe the mods, though.

6.7 years agoWhat's that background? It strongly resembles Terraria's background to me.
6.7 years agoHow much will the Dyson Sphere cost?
6.7 years ago@DerekSP Why? I can't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to create complex creations on a PC that are too much for a mobile.....
6.7 years ago@BobDaBilder123 I don't know, but if there isn't then I'll be looking to mod them in.
