Hey! I've been designing a website based on this idea, and I just finished it. It shows all the launches in a gallery on the main page, and a calendar showing every scheduled launch. It also has a link that goes to a google forms, where people are able to enter in their launch details, and then from that, their launch can be put on the site.
I have given credit to you on the site for having the original idea, and was wondering if you'd be okay with me putting it up? You would be listed as a co-creator, with a link directly to your account. I definitely don't want to step on anyones toes, especially with such a cool idea, so I wanted to talk with you first. If you want to check it out before giving me the go ahead, just let me know and I'll get you the link!
@JSO18 that could be it. I believe you can change the texture quality of structures through planet editor. That way it doesn’t attempt to load all of them at such high resolutions...
Unless that’s an actual in game setting that you already have set. I can’t remember if it is or not.
Every time I see one of your posts about your Beta vehicle I get confused. I have an in development launcher named Zeta and I always think I accidentally made a post about it, lol.
Good luck on your test!
@Tweedle_Aerospace I used a screen recorder/streaming software called OBS. It was designed for direct streaming so I’m able to overlay the entire interface live while recording. Super cool and helpful.
I'm not even kidding, I did this exact same mission last night! When I did it I was trying to use the smallest and least expensive rocket to get the job done. I'd love to compare our crafts to see the different ways we handled the mission profile.
@RocketBuilder Yeah, there's lots of variety. In France you count down how many years you have left of school, so if you're in 10th grade you say that you're in seconde or 2ème.
@CommanderSword I just realized I totally forgot about finishing the pamphlet about Explorer Co. I got super busy, sorry.
Would you still like me to finish it?
I have flown it fully manually in the fall and landing bit with the base design, it is able to flip without any other “nonexistent” surfaces.
I actually have the first half of the program (though I don’t know how “good” it is) that is able to get it to 20km and fall mostly controlled to the ground. I need some help/guidance in programming the suicide burn and the flip though, that’s the bit I’m having trouble with right now.
@crowxe
@Yathish well, sadly that statement is true, testing is easier on computers as opposed to mobile platforms. But also remember that the mods are not actually part of the dev teams, mobile testers do have their place here.
@wwwNews222com Guess what bud, you only got two points, first place had 31 upvotes and 3rd had 21. You need to stop attacking Mod just because you didn’t win. The world must be a horrible place for you if you can’t understand that. You’re acting like a three year old and no one wants that in this community. I honestly mean no disrespect, but that isn’t how competitions works.
@CommanderSword I grew tired of trying to get it on my computer so I redid it on my phone. Just uploaded the 6m, and as soon as my computers back up and running I’ll upload the 3m.
Because of the differences in module size, I decided to go with two rockets of the same family, I only have the large 6m rocket finished and I’ll work on the 3m later today. I decided to go with Pegasus 642 for the big one.
The first number stands for width, the second for 1st stage engine count and the third for 2nd stage engine count.
@CommanderSword alright, a universal rocket would only be more efficient if it can launch more than one module at a time. I’ll definitely play with it!

3.7 years ago@JSO18 that could be it. I believe you can change the texture quality of structures through planet editor. That way it doesn’t attempt to load all of them at such high resolutions...

@JSO18 hmm, weird. Do you think it might’ve changed some settings up when you updated?
3.7 years agoHere I am happy when I get 30-40 FPS on my laptop... lol. I could probably use an actual pc, but money and time are things I lack rn. Haha
I haven’t noticed a huge difference though. Some with high part counts, and when I’m around structures, but overall it hasn’t been too bad.
3.7 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace Forgot to change that. Lol Thanks for pointing it out!

Nice! I love the planning you’ve put into this!
4.0 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace I used a screen recorder/streaming software called OBS. It was designed for direct streaming so I’m able to overlay the entire interface live while recording. Super cool and helpful.
4.0 years agoGood luck! You’ll have to keep us updated!
4.5 years agoI'm not even kidding, I did this exact same mission last night! When I did it I was trying to use the smallest and least expensive rocket to get the job done. I'd love to compare our crafts to see the different ways we handled the mission profile.
4.7 years agoGlad to hear it!

4.7 years ago@AndrewGarrison I see, not a problem! Thanks for the update.
4.7 years ago@CommanderSword Alrighty, I’m pretty swamped with classes right now, but I should have it done by the end of the week.
4.7 years ago@SelectAKey Well... What would you like to do?
4.8 years ago@AstronautPlanes Sounds and looks like an awesome project, have fun and good luck!
4.8 years ago@SupremeDorian I’m a little late, but great job! Congrats!
4.8 years agoWhat do you want to create a tag for?
4.8 years ago@crowxe I do not have either, would you need me to get discord?

@Simpleplaner1945 in the parentheses

5.0 years ago@CommanderSword of course! What would you like included?
5.1 years agoCool, I’ll do an extended fairing config
5.2 years ago@CommanderSword No problem, if you need anything else, just tell me! I’m hoping I can get my computer back up tomorrow!
5.2 years ago@CommanderSword I grew tired of trying to get it on my computer so I redid it on my phone. Just uploaded the 6m, and as soon as my computers back up and running I’ll upload the 3m.
5.2 years ago@Nerfenthusiast @CommanderSword
5.2 years agoI apologize once again, Steam is having problems launching SR2 on my computer. I cant seem to figure out why.
@Nerfenthusiast Forgot to tag you
5.2 years agoFairing is 4 meters by 9. I’m planning on having multiple fairing confide eventually so I can work around payloads if need be.
5.2 years agoI’ll send some more specifications after I run some stress tests on the vehicles.
5.2 years agoBecause of the differences in module size, I decided to go with two rockets of the same family, I only have the large 6m rocket finished and I’ll work on the 3m later today. I decided to go with Pegasus 642 for the big one.

@CommanderSword Ok, I Apollo-gize for being so late.
5.2 years ago(And for that terrible pun)
@CommanderSword Cool! I’ll upload the rocket soon, won’t have my computer until Saturday but with definitely upload then!
5.2 years ago@CommanderSword
5.2 years agoWow, thanks! I was having a few problems with the rocket, I should be able to upload it by tomorrow though. Any name ideas?
Great to have you! Welcome.
5.2 years ago@CommanderSword alright, a universal rocket would only be more efficient if it can launch more than one module at a time. I’ll definitely play with it!
5.2 years ago@CommanderSword I can do that. Would you like a universal rocket or multiple?
5.2 years ago@Awsomur nope, it’s literally everywhere. I watched it live.
5.2 years agoAny word on the other modules?
5.2 years agoSorry about that @CommanderSword. Haven't been able to get to uploading it today... Here it is
5.4 years agoMay I ask, what parts you used to make the cow?
5.4 years agoHere is the Propulsion Module. I have uploaded the Maximum number of crafts in 24 hours so I'll have to wait to upload the living quarters.
5.4 years agoThe Propulsion Module has also been completed. I packed a little more than 4,000 m/s of ∆v into it and it has a TWR of 7.85
5.4 years ago@CommanderSword I just finished the Crew Quarters and a service module to dock it with the hub.
5.4 years ago@CommanderSword Sounds good. And thank you! All you have to do is hit alt-j
5.4 years ago@CommanderSword No problem, thanks
5.4 years ago@CommanderSword Is there a specific docking port radius and main body radius that you would like?
5.4 years agoThat sounds great! I would be more than happy to work on the living quarters.
