This would be a LOT more complicated than you would think and they would have to redesign the entire fuel tank system if its even possible.

@Natedog120705 np, i recently used that to try to integrate data with vizzy and i was able to make it display the total distance traveled by just looking at the velocity.

Theres a really easy way to do this, you store the thing you want to measure in one variable, then wait a certain amount of time and store the thing in another variable, then you subtract the first from the second one, set the second one to the first wait again set the thing to the second variable, subtract again and repeat the latter part for as long as you want.
    Example for clearity

The key to shoot the tether is f you just use the scroll wheel to inctease/decrease its length, more infos about the controls can be found in the settings menu.

There are actually already bodies in the system that have non 0 inclination, tydos for example and cylero aswell, its just very small. Also if you wait some more time untill the planet builder comes out you'll be able to make an asteroid yourself.

If XML editing tips are prohibited on the forum, please @ me so I delete this post. (or delete it yourself if you are a mod)

You're good, there have been way more intrusive ways people have edited xml and i dont see a reason why it shouldn't be allowed.

You cant directly edit the height, its determened by the planet size, surface density and mean mass per molecule, for the atmosphere colour you'll need to change the wavelength value under the skyshader data, about the water colour im not sure myself, but what do you mean by natural pinkish tint?

This is it up close, still blocky and as you get further away it becomes bigger blocks. PC and max graphics settings btw.

I noticed that the shoreline east of the space center is kind of blocky, i dont know how fixxable that is, but it has always been kind of an eyezore compared to the otherwise beautiful landscape.

@GrayStar then i suggest switching to then newest beta, there are a lot of useful features and changes that make planet editing easier.

Untill we get proper ui you'll have to duplicate existing ones, though you can easily do that by saving an existing body with a different name in planet studio. To change the colour you have to look at the bottom most modifier of a biome and then the individual subbiomes, there you should find the RGB values and even options for smoothness and metallicness. About the atmosphere, its calculated by the planets radius, mean mass per molecule and surface density i think, so you'll have to play around with these values to get something you like.

Try only enabling brakes on the back wheels.

The @ doesnt work in forum posts it only works in comments also the explosion size depends on the mass so I'd suggest using batteries as they have the highest density.

@sflanker its not actually any of the below mentioned stuff, its just that the wheels are kinda unstable, to fix it just increase forward/sideways friction on the back wheels, atleast thats what worked for me.

@xEzzx first of all the astronauts are certainly fine with the fuel they have, they have about 600m/s of delta v, real life eva jetpacks have about 5-10m/s, second of all what do you mean that pc has more stuff than mobile, if you're talking about the dev console, there arent that many useful commands anyways and if you're talking about mods, there are only a few that actually add a lot to the game, also modified sandboxes like ESS or RSS work on mobile too.

    4.5 years ago
  • Profile image

Im sure you'll get your problems resolved eventually, if you find a bug that is easily reproducable be sure to report it so the devs can take a look at it.
