@Arstotzka I just need a script to make the rocket stay at it’s starting roll heading, that way when the rocket is gliding to the landing pad the fins will still have the correct orientation to control the rocket.
I would always forget to save my craft before sending it for a test flight after half an hour of vizzy editing, and the game only liked to crash when I forgot to save. If I saved it it would not crash, but every time I forgot to save it crashed and lost all of my progress.
How do I use fuselage smoothing? What is it supposed to do? I downloaded the new beta, but I do not see any differences with the fuel tanks. I looked for a setting to change but I could not find one.
@Teague besides the ambient occlusion, no. I tried turning it off and I still had performance issues. I think it was to do with the complex launch site or just having so many more planets/moons.
@Teague Yeah I have a laptop too. I am happy with any FPS above 20 after coming from playing on a phone and an iPad. It is just strange to me how much my performance was impacted by the new solar system. I have not changed any settings and yet my FPS went down by almost 100.
@Tweedle_Aerospace I got an extremely similar number by just making a tinker panel tiny lander and flying it there, and it used a code I made that just made it constantly display the location
@Tweedle_Aerospace lol I will but I have a long way to go until I'm ready for that part- I'm making a whole new launch code, and it is going to be a lot more advanced than my last ones.
@Tweedle_Aerospace I might make my own, but right now I am planning on using the one that comes with the stock solar system. If I need it to go farther out in the ocean I will make my own.
@LeO2502 If you are playing the beta version of SR2 on steam, try creating a new sandbox save. If you are playing on a sandbox created before this new beta, it will still be the old Juno System.
This might not be your problem, but in the designer you can not see the emission on each color, but when you launch it it will be very bright if the emission sliders on the colors are high.
I do not know what went wrong but I have a feeling spacex will solve it with SN10. With SN8, they probably would have landed it if the header tank pressure was right, and with the SN9 they came close too.
@sflanker @Doublehsh I looked at the part connections panel, and it works, but there is always a regular connection and a 'shell' connection. I just take them both off, but what is the 'shell' connection?
@Tweedle_Aerospace that is a smart idea. I will try that. The one problem would be when I am falling vertically, there would not be a highest one, but I could probably do the same think with x or y.
@Tweedle_Aerospace I have a reliable lunar transfer burn, but as I enter luna SOI, I am trying to get the craft to point perpendicular to retrograde/prograde, while making sure it as at the right angle on in the right direction, that way I can lower/raise my periapsis for as little delta v as possible, but I can not find a reliable way to point the the correct direction.
@Tweedle_Aerospace yes, I think on docking, craft a will become the craft you are controlling, and craft b will become the other. I am not sure but I think that is how it works.
@sflanker the problem is that I am not in Luna orbit yet, so it points at the planet but does not do what I want. Is there any way to stay perpendicular to prograde and retrograde while making sure it is in towards the middle of the orbit?
@Staticalliam7 Thanks!
3.6 years ago@Arstotzka I might be able to find the files in the actual SR2 folder so hopefully I can delete all of them quicker
3.6 years agoTweedle_aerospace had a new rocket
3.6 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace I need 90 degree pitch
3.6 years ago@Arstotzka I just need a script to make the rocket stay at it’s starting roll heading, that way when the rocket is gliding to the landing pad the fins will still have the correct orientation to control the rocket.
3.6 years ago@AshtvinayakAerospace I am on a cheaper pc and I have seen a major fps decrease. I think it is just the new system though.
3.7 years ago@KuiperAerospace Thanks! Also I am working on custom legs since the stock legs will not go any bigger. Hopefully they will be in the final release.
3.7 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace Lol only if I ever get my program to work
3.7 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace wow. I am not able to save that much because I have very limited storage.
3.7 years ago@SoulBlazer Me too. I am on my 36th save file for my Sparrow 3.
+1 3.7 years agoI would always forget to save my craft before sending it for a test flight after half an hour of vizzy editing, and the game only liked to crash when I forgot to save. If I saved it it would not crash, but every time I forgot to save it crashed and lost all of my progress.

3.7 years agoA moon orbiter or lander would be cool. I tried an accurate lunar orbiter but ran into some problems.
3.7 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace I got an extremely similar number by just making a tinker panel tiny lander and flying it there, and it used a code I made that just made it constantly display the location
3.7 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace me too. That would make it so much easier to do accurate landings.
3.7 years agoNot yet- they are going for another attempt
3.7 years agoSo will they just all land while still strapped together? Also congrats on 3k!
3.7 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace lol I will but I have a long way to go until I'm ready for that part- I'm making a whole new launch code, and it is going to be a lot more advanced than my last ones.

3.7 years ago@zeropol once it is posted how to I get the link?
3.7 years agoedit: Never mind I figured it out. Thanks for the help!
I went from constant 144 fps to between 70-90 fps.
3.7 years ago@Mod How do you get the link for the image? Do you have to post it somewhere? If so, where?
3.7 years agoI hope you can get it to work. That would be very cool. Are you using your own drone ship or someone else's?
3.7 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace although it probably won’t be ready for at least a month
+1 3.7 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace Lol my targeted payload for the Sparrow 3 is 35,000 kilograms.

+1 3.8 years agothe button is where the "set primary" button would normally be on a non-primary command part.
3.8 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace yeah I sort of just gave up on them without even trying most of them
3.8 years ago@SupremeDorian Thanks!

3.8 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace thanks!
3.8 years agohow are you going to make the crane work? will it have pistons or something similar, or will it just be decoration?
3.8 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace thanks!
3.9 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace that is a smart idea. I will try that. The one problem would be when I am falling vertically, there would not be a highest one, but I could probably do the same think with x or y.
3.9 years ago@sflanker thanks so much! I will try this.
3.9 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace I have a reliable lunar transfer burn, but as I enter luna SOI, I am trying to get the craft to point perpendicular to retrograde/prograde, while making sure it as at the right angle on in the right direction, that way I can lower/raise my periapsis for as little delta v as possible, but I can not find a reliable way to point the the correct direction.
3.9 years agoYes I definitely agree. I always download the craft.
3.9 years ago@Arstotzka thanks I will try that
