This was one of my first attempts at a moon lander. I made this when I was still learning the game and I have not tested this for Brigo but I think it should be able to make it and it is pretty cheap- less than 16 million.
Does it count if I just plug those coordinates into my landing program and do it with vizzy?
Edit:
Oh wait I need to land there to get the coordinates that won’t work lol
@TweedleAerospace yeah but I think a fully automatic plane that will actually try to fight is a little out of my reach. (Also I have made way too many failed planes. I like building rockets, not planes)
To download a craft, if you are playing on steam, go into the game and in the side menu press the blue button on top that says “download crafts”. Then, pick a craft on the website and just press “download”. For systems it is pretty much the same thing and to use the system create a new sandbox and choose that system. Mods are a little more complicated. There are instructions on some mod posts that could help you. On android/iOS, you also just press the download crafts button for crafts and systems and follow the same process as on steam, but mods are not available on mobile. It sounds sort of confusing the way I worded it but once you find the download crafts button it should be pretty easy.
@TweedleAerospace nice! I can’t wait. I am also trying to improve my landing reliability/accuracy to the point where I can try to do a booster catch like how spacex wants to do with Superheavy.
it is pretty easy to safely reenter from very high orbits with no heat shield at all in this game- I like to lower the max temperature with tinker panel on all of my parts sometimes to make reentry a little harder
@FkGamingFX you could try posting the picture to a private discord server- that is what I do. I am also pretty sure there is a way to access a picture posted with a craft on SR2, but I am not completely sure how.
@FkGamingFX are you sure it has en empty pair of brackets then on the outside of those the link in parentheses? Right now it looks like !(picture link) or ![(picture link)]
@TweedleAerospace I figured out a way to make the same thing but in a more stable way that does not require stability modifier- thanks for the help, I probably would not have figured out that it was stability modifier. (I know it says it can decrease rotation speed but I always thought that meant that a rotator or motor would move slower, not the entire rocket)
In the designer on the side menu press the 3 bars and under “save craft” and “load craft” you should see “edit flight program” press that and you will be in the vizzy editor.
@Arstotzka I just need a script to make the rocket stay at it’s starting roll heading, that way when the rocket is gliding to the landing pad the fins will still have the correct orientation to control the rocket.
I would always forget to save my craft before sending it for a test flight after half an hour of vizzy editing, and the game only liked to crash when I forgot to save. If I saved it it would not crash, but every time I forgot to save it crashed and lost all of my progress.
@Teague besides the ambient occlusion, no. I tried turning it off and I still had performance issues. I think it was to do with the complex launch site or just having so many more planets/moons.
@Teague Yeah I have a laptop too. I am happy with any FPS above 20 after coming from playing on a phone and an iPad. It is just strange to me how much my performance was impacted by the new solar system. I have not changed any settings and yet my FPS went down by almost 100.
@Tweedle_Aerospace I got an extremely similar number by just making a tinker panel tiny lander and flying it there, and it used a code I made that just made it constantly display the location
@Tweedle_Aerospace lol I will but I have a long way to go until I'm ready for that part- I'm making a whole new launch code, and it is going to be a lot more advanced than my last ones.
@Tweedle_Aerospace I might make my own, but right now I am planning on using the one that comes with the stock solar system. If I need it to go farther out in the ocean I will make my own.

3.5 years agoI’m not great at vizzy so I’m not going to try to enter but this is a cool idea. I might try to make a code for fun, though.

3.5 years agoDo you have an automatic transfer burn program?

3.6 years ago@FkGamingFX you could try posting the picture to a private discord server- that is what I do. I am also pretty sure there is a way to access a picture posted with a craft on SR2, but I am not completely sure how.
3.6 years ago@FkGamingFX also it could be that that link actually leads to a website and not the actual picture
3.6 years ago@FkGamingFX are you sure it has en empty pair of brackets then on the outside of those the link in parentheses? Right now it looks like !(picture link) or ![(picture link)]
3.6 years ago@Hermes01000100 Thank you so much! It works!
3.6 years ago@SoulBlazer I did not, and also until I tried to change the controls I was on default control settings. Would it be game or quality settings?
3.6 years ago@TweedleAerospace I figured out a way to make the same thing but in a more stable way that does not require stability modifier- thanks for the help, I probably would not have figured out that it was stability modifier. 3.6 years ago@TweedleAerospace yes... is that the problem?
3.6 years agoIn the designer on the side menu press the 3 bars and under “save craft” and “load craft” you should see “edit flight program” press that and you will be in the vizzy editor.
3.6 years agoI can launch the astronauts in my Phoenix 3 capsule (or Phoenix 4 if it’s ready by then)
3.6 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace Can it be changed once it is locked?
3.6 years agoI am so happy! I wanted them to pick Starship the whole time but I thought they would pick Dynetics.
3.6 years ago@Jayceafton ok. I can help, but it takes a lot of time and I am working on a lot of things right now, so it could take a while to get it done.
3.6 years ago@Jayceafton What do you need help with?
3.6 years ago@Jayceafton That is what it already does. Here is the most updated version of the craft that can land at LPA, LPB, or the Drone Ship.
3.6 years ago@Jayceafton What do you mean?
3.6 years ago@AshtvinayakAerospace Ok. This launch already happened but your payload can be on the next launch (probably sometime this week)
3.6 years ago@AshtvinayakAerospace no... I am just going to post pictures
3.6 years ago@CASXA Thanks!
3.6 years agoTotal payload weight: 1654kg.
48,346kg left
Also note: colors of payload may change
3.6 years ago@Staticalliam7 Thanks!
3.6 years ago@Arstotzka I might be able to find the files in the actual SR2 folder so hopefully I can delete all of them quicker
3.6 years agoTweedle_aerospace had a new rocket
3.6 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace I need 90 degree pitch
3.6 years ago@Arstotzka I just need a script to make the rocket stay at it’s starting roll heading, that way when the rocket is gliding to the landing pad the fins will still have the correct orientation to control the rocket.
3.6 years ago@AshtvinayakAerospace I am on a cheaper pc and I have seen a major fps decrease. I think it is just the new system though.
3.7 years ago@KuiperAerospace Thanks! Also I am working on custom legs since the stock legs will not go any bigger. Hopefully they will be in the final release.
3.7 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace Lol only if I ever get my program to work
3.7 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace wow. I am not able to save that much because I have very limited storage.
3.7 years agoI would always forget to save my craft before sending it for a test flight after half an hour of vizzy editing, and the game only liked to crash when I forgot to save. If I saved it it would not crash, but every time I forgot to save it crashed and lost all of my progress.

3.7 years agoA moon orbiter or lander would be cool. I tried an accurate lunar orbiter but ran into some problems.
3.7 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace I got an extremely similar number by just making a tinker panel tiny lander and flying it there, and it used a code I made that just made it constantly display the location
3.7 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace me too. That would make it so much easier to do accurate landings.
3.7 years agoNot yet- they are going for another attempt
3.7 years agoSo will they just all land while still strapped together? Also congrats on 3k!
3.7 years ago@Tweedle_Aerospace lol I will but I have a long way to go until I'm ready for that part- I'm making a whole new launch code, and it is going to be a lot more advanced than my last ones.

3.7 years ago@zeropol once it is posted how to I get the link?
3.7 years agoedit: Never mind I figured it out. Thanks for the help!
I went from constant 144 fps to between 70-90 fps.
