@GINGER01 The original promo video for SR2 had a similar system for 2 axis, but nothing recent has been said

@apfel33 yes, he has mentioned that SR1 ion engines were too OP, and SR2 ones will be more true to life and nerffed in comparison

@EagleFlyer the 2 games are built in 2 different engines. It would be like making the part from scratch even if you have the 3d models already done

@Sharandeep981 hey man, I'm not looking to argue. I will say that the post you are referencing doesn't say anything about it being a Jupiter analog. Gas giants have very similar features. I wasn't clear however when I said "scaled" i meant similar physics, and not ones like SR1, not an entire recreation of OUR solar system.

Here's a quote by Andrew on the fairings post in relation to parts, which I extrapolate to be about the game as a whole: "We're trying to keep mass and price consistent with the real world and not scaled back."

@NerdsGalore thanks for the support. I think the main issue is several people don't even go to the original FAQ. We can only hope for a brighter future when it comes to people reading pre-existing info.

@Sharandeep981 i think at this point, anything not already mentioned to be in the game will have to be modded in

@nhan12341184 to answer your plane question, you could only through thrusters, as there is no air on the moon to fly in

@EagleFlyer @nhan12341184 The answer is almost 100% no.

@AndrewGarrison I know a "career mode" was stated a while ago to be implemented after initial beta testing, but I see a price in this UI? Will it be making it to the beta?! :D

Also, you might have better luck bringing up these questions in the most recent blog post by him, as he responds to just about anyone who mentions (@) him, in contrast to never (to my knowledge) responding to a form post

I doubt it, as he has said no cheats will be built into the game. However if your feeling risky, you could modify the XML file of a spawned craft to be placed in orbit

    6.7 years ago
  • Profile image

@Skywalket he has said before that there are enough parts to create one ourselves

    6.7 years ago
  • Profile image

@AndrewGarrison So I understand that you can change size of most of these parts, but is the size:mass:price ratio similar to real life fairings (goes for other parts as well) or is it scaled back for balance (ie. SR1 everything was about 1/10 of real life)

@MrTaco I like it. Squirrels In Space Initiative. SISI. Ethics Board might have a few issues with it, but science must prevail!

Personally, one of the first mods I will be making will be "Extra Capsules and Cabins", so that, even though we won't have astronauts in-game yet, we can still have a bit of realism. All assuming more capsules and cabins won't be announced before mod api is.

@SpaceloverSTS001 it hasn't been released yet. Like I mentioned earlier, it'll be June-ish before we have anything to play with

    6.7 years ago
  • Profile image

@SpaceloverSTS001 (as of current info) beta will start on steam (PC/Mac) june - ish. IOS and Android will be released late this year/early next year. Assuming SR1 is on Amazon play store now(idk if it is personally), and it's based in Android software it's safe to say you'll be waiting till late this/early next year for a release. If you can't wait though, get the beta. It should run well even on a crumby laptop if that's all you got, as SR2 is being developed to run on specs as low as an S6

@SpaceloverSTS001 Andrew has said astronauts won't be in beta release but are a feature for the future.

@AndrewGarrison Will we be able to launch with select amounts of fuel (ie. Tank can hold 1000L, but I want to launch with 500L, then be able to fill up full to 1000L at a station)

@AndrewGarrison is that a smaller engine I spot in the bottom left? I'm trying to mine all the information out of these as I can :P
How many engines are finished vs. how many to be done for release? Will we get an update on them soon? (few weeks or so)
