You want AGL => 1000. Setting it equal means that the programme is looking for 1000.000..., a value that almost never is logged because of the limited refresh rate of JNO.
There are some role-play companies on this site, but they are rather rare, especially when compared to the early days. Meme builds are also not too common, but you do see rather unorthodox builds quite a bit, such as a flying house or an anime girl. Low effort posts are surprisingly uncommon, and many builds are cleverly optimised. There was a trend with Starships at some point, so you could probably find a lot of them.
Drama really doesn't happen here, and it almost always has been rather meagre.
I view expressions as basically FT for planets. Most times, it is basic arithmetic and algebra, but it does contain functions such as max(), clamp(), and more.
Procreate, hands down. It is really easy to create some good looking art even if you are as untalented as I.
It costs USD10.00, but never charges you for anything again. I've had it for over a year, and, whilst I don't use it much, it is always convenient and enjoyable to use.
I don’t make cars often, but I just start with primitives. The largest shapes are perfected first, then I add smaller parts, then detail them. Three to five divisions is the most I tend to do for cars.
You can do something like this in JNO through the Vizzy feature, but it’s better to put a motor instead for a beacon. This allows you to get an exact frequency of rotation rather than eyeballing it, and it’s also capable of throttling unlike a rotator.
You need to bind a toggle to your mouse joystick. To do this, access the Flight Controls setting, and you should see an option for joystick toggle. Check out DeepSpaceIndustries’ new video on 1.2 for further details. The joystick binding is a little under halfway through.
Seven metres per second is pretty bad for earthen landings. I’d recommend a water landing. Those are a bit more forgiving. If you want to land on terra firma, you need to find something to use as a cushion. I’d recommend wheels turned to face the ground, but I don’t know if that’d work.
@Zenithspeed the way I define it in this context is an apathy towards one mental state and a lack of will to address it. The common excuse is that one is used to the problem, and thus is falsely led to believe that it is a low priority issue if one at all.
Another common thought process is that of perceived immunity. One may believe that this heightened exposure is granting them immunity to its effects, but this is a scenario where one cannot ever hope to tank said effects. This usually leads to a build up, which may ultimately lead to a total mental breakdown. The consequences are sometimes lethal.
If your mental health is proving to be problematic, get the hell of this platform, stop building things that (according to yourself) you don’t like. Take as much time as you need, maybe practice a funky martial arts, or just vege.
I’m not being harsh, I’m just giving you the best advice I can given that I’ve been there before.
Have an orbit with a low inclination. You will then need to acquire the planet’s rotation period and calculate the apoapsis of a circular orbit with that same period.
Here’s the equation for period: T = 2pi * sqrt(pow(a, 3) / (G * M))
“M” is the central body mass, “G” is the gravitational constant (6.6743 * pow(10 , -11), and “a” is the semi-major axis, or the radius of a circular orbit. If elliptical, it is the longer of two axes. Rearrange the equation to solve for “a”.
@Tristxan you’ll find it in a file called Settings.xml. Go to the very bottom of the file and you should see a chain of every setting. Set physicsDistance equal to whatever range you want in kilometres.
I have something to say on that.
Firstly, communism comes in multiple flavours, and not all of them have to be extreme. It’s like saying a firecracker is the same thing as a tank. That doesn’t mean the tanks are not still out there. No more politics from this point on, but I just felt I should point that out. Sorry.
Secondly, you are absolutely correct that politics should be completely left out of a space game community. However, forcibly silencing this or any kind of conversation will only anger people to eleven. I have seen it before and I do not want to see it again. It needs to be based on the community mindset, not the words of a select few who, in their defence, run the place. I do believe that your post bringing attention to this is a good start, but we need to be careful how we proceed from here.
I’m still gonna give an updoot because I do agree with the sentiment, but I strongly advise you to consider what I have said.

+1 9 months agoOhoho, ominous!
+1 10 months agoI'd just send a rocket on a suicide mission. Land a heavily shielded craft there, and bob around for a bit until you explode.
+1 10 months agoYikes. At least it was just a mirror.
+1 10 months ago@4drii neat!

+1 11 months agoPerhaps post the submarine. You give little information, too many conclusions can be drawn.
+1 11 months agoYou will get better. There is no avoiding it.
+1 11 months ago@Hyperant a semi-ominous joke about comments flooding in again.

+1 one year agoThis cannot be done.
The best you can do is to add a procedural engine in line with the ion engine to provide both damage and a beam if you wish.
+1 1.1 years ago@Seeya very good choice of No.

+1 1.1 years ago@Zenithspeed fair enough, I guess ¯_(ツ)_/¯
+1 1.2 years ago@Zenithspeed I just got used to Overload. It isn’t much a pain to close out and test.

+1 1.2 years agoWhat you’re seeing is likely a dummy thicc atmosphere. A true gas world is nigh if not entirely impossible at that scale.

+1 1.2 years agoThere’s probably a blending issue. A sharp contrast between biomes will lead to some really screwy terrain.

+1 1.3 years agoI think it’s supposed to be there, but the slider is just funky. I just put it in myself via stock Overload.
+1 1.4 years ago@Ambarveis so a pre-made box part and the actual parts, one for simplicity and one for full control of workings. I like it!
