I would like to have in-game tutorials for how to rendezvous with a spacecraft in orbit and how to set up the flight path for a mission to the moon or other planets.
"Each pod/chip can only control what is attached to them, not what it is attached to (needs verification)". I think I understand what you mean by "each pod/chip can only control what is attached to them". I don't understand what you mean the latter part of the statement, particularly the" needs verification".
The course was based on the Aerospace course offered for junior members in the Civil Air Patrol. We used the book that the CAP uses. I was in the CAP years ago when I lived in Georgia. Had the the rank of Lieutenant and was the aerospace education officer in the Rome, Georgia unit.
I have spin stabilized a satellite to be launched from the cargo bay without any problems. That motor was at right angles to the direction of flight. In the case of the situations I mentioned earlier the motor is in line with the direction of flight.

Here's the link to my Gemini Titan 2. This is just one of my projects in which the RCS won['t work properly.
I went in and checked the box for the RCS to search for fuel tank. In flight, the part that the RCS thrusters are attached to is 100% full of fuel. I still get nothing even though I have "T" pressed to actuate the translation mode.
I don't want weapons in the game. It's a space flight sim. There are plenty of space war games out there. I saw someone had modded a Titan 2 ICBM. It might be interesting to have a nuke to put on a rocket, but I'm not pushing for that.
The set primary is under the command pod, not command chip. I'm sorry if I seem dense here, but are you saying that once I put the chip on the rocket then it is activated automatically? I have been putting the chip on the side of the rocket. It sounds like that might be my main problem. If it is, then I really do feel dense. In my defense, I'm a 67 year retiree from teaching.
First I attach the chip to the rocket and then click on it. I have clicked on "set primary" even though it only appears beneath "command pod". The command chip doesn't seem to be able to control any rocket I place it on. Once the rocket gets about 400 meters above the ground it either tumbles or spins out of control.
I must seem dense to you, but I'm not understanding your instructions. Are you attaching the struts to the docking port and then attaching the parachutes to it and then pushing that assembly into the CP? I can't make the struts attach anywhere on the CP except on the middle of the top of the CP.
I did that but then the wheels wouldn't turn at all.
5.3 years agoNot seeing anyway to set torque to 0. I can only set torque to 100. On the XML, I see no page that deals with advanced settings.
5.3 years agoI'm sorry, I do have V3.
5.3 years agoI guess it was V2. Where is V3?
5.3 years agoDownloaded your Decal "sheet". Well done!
+1 5.3 years ago@pedro16797 That's exciting!
@Kell OK-thanks.

5.4 years agoI'm not undertanding your answer- "multiple subs"?
@pedro16797 Planet Studio ?
What do you mean "fiddle around"? Where do I find the part inspector inflight?

5.8 years agoOK, I got what an AG is- activation group. I don't see any on-off default settings anywhere.
5.8 years agoAG ?

5.9 years agoThanks- I tried that and it works.
5.9 years agoOK, I'll try that.
5.9 years agoForgive my ignorance, but are any of these solid propellant engines. SRB's would be a great addition.
5.9 years agoLooking good! Let us know how the X-20 Dyna Soar works. I'm working on one of those now.
+1 5.9 years agoOK- got it.
5.9 years agoI'm sorry, but I'm not following what you're saying at all. Plus and Minus signs? Are these on the globe?
5.9 years agoThose and side interstages work if the fuel line box is checked.
5.9 years agoDo you mean "fuel adapter"?
5.9 years agoProblem solved- changing the fuel to mono in the tank that the RCS is attached to solved the problem. That's where PDF manual would be helpful.

6.0 years agoThanks.
6.0 years agoI finally figured how to use the command chip. What I'm seeing is that RCS doesn't work with the command chip.
6.0 years agoCan you tell me how to build one with a piston?

6.0 years agoI've never played KSP. I was thinking antennae would make the spacecraft look more realistic. I wasn't thinking in terms of actual functionality.

6.0 years agoHow do I set the chip to be primary? The text "set to primary" does not show up under command chip.
6.0 years agoNo, I don't think so. "Set to primary" only shows up under Command Module not Command Chip.
6.0 years agoPiston does what and how?
6.0 years agoOK- Thanks
6.0 years agoI went to the Steam site, looked in my Library but did not see "properties" to find
