The door idea may be similar to a suggestion I did some months ago (without multiple shapes but with multiple types like slicing door, 1 or 2 doors...). I think this suggestion fits much better SR2 and may be easy to implement (just a part like the air intake but with capped top and bottom and the door)
Something to add to this would be an option to make the top and bottom caps disappear if you attach two habitation modules together
@MarioG yup, generalization makes it hard to adapt the plumes. I wonder if it would be possible to easily change the gradient of the plume particles and not only the color with mod tools
@MarioG in SL plume particles are spheres that can be easily noticed and it doesn't have shock diamonds, the advantaje in SL is that the color gradients are more realistic
Cool, now I can't find any problem with the exhaust :D
In the subjective department: I've been watching some KSP+RealPlume videos and I can say SR2 exhaust is crushing them in almost all cases. The only case where I think RealPlumes looks better is vacuum.
I think that a particles based plume in vacuum making the sharp exhaust effect fully transparent may give a more realistic look (not sure about the performance hit)
I would also make the max underexpansion have a bigger diameter but this is purely based on looks and I don't know if it should be like that in real live.
@Bmcclory we don't even need a new part, just an spheric option on nosecones instead of just cone and curved cone, that can prevent the spike on top of the deformated nosecones
You should check this great job by @WNP78. Some things may have changed in last beta (FuelSource doesn't exist now, there are some new parts and minor changes to xml)
@AtlantikWall45 soviet and american were suggested, but including them implies including all countries with developed aerospace tech (this goes from a lot of african countries to places like Iran, RPDK, Israel... that are very controversial) in order to prevent discrimination.
Maybe continents fit the tag list, but it may add a lot of tags that can be replaced just by "Replica" and then the country in the title or description
@Kell the descriptions are meant to be an explanation so we all understand the meaning in the same way. The web description (at least how I see it) should be made by the mods or devs.
@AtlantikWall45 not claiming something is yours doesn't imply people won't assume it is if you post it. A link in 1 word at the bottom of a long article is not crediting
@AtlantikWall45 I think that's a bad idea, because then you're introducing patriotism (and posibly politics) into the game. And if you add soviet and american you'll have to add chinese, indian, japanese, irani, corean...
@Bmcclory that's one I've been thinking for a week xd Because rovers don't fit many vehicles and land vehicles is too long. Maybe just Land, Water and Air
@DerekSP @AtlantikWall45 there's a link to the suggestion on top, the only thing that I would change is that I would make the forum post asking people to check the suggestion instead of repeating the content of the suggestion here. There's a lot of info and it's easy to go over the link without noticing
It has no N-body, water buoyancy is a bit weird and aerodynamics have some problems, but it's far more realistic than other games.
With moving parts you can make cables that behave like cables, the collisions work amazingly well, so you can replicate mechanic systems. New rockets add a lot of realism with exhaust expansions
I've never played SP or SR, just SR2.
One way to know what the community likes is going through the most upvoted crafts. The easiest way to get there is with detailed crafts
We already have dozens of Falcon Heavy replicas (just a couple realistic and/or detailed) and a couple of Burans, but I would go with FH since it's easier to make when you're starting.
This is a good question. I've never had problems with the clips that I've uploaded with the game music but I can't confirm it's intended to be used in videos. Judging on how Jundroo team works I'm almost sure you won't have issues using it
@yopo Hm, you should be able to prevent your rocket from collapse if you add a interstage at the bottom. Now attachment points have rigidity and parts hold a certain amount of force (that's because heavier crafts tend to break easier if you don't have any support)
The integrity idea is based on degradation with use (more if you force the parts over their limits) and randomization
@KraZIvan Description?

5.5 years ago@DarkPK daaaamn that is the best perspective I've seen of a plume in vacuum

+4 5.5 years agoAre staging and AGs saved in the command unit like the sliders?
Edit: after testing it... they are! :D
+1 5.5 years ago@reCarn you can make it playing with tinkered size and radius
+1 5.5 years agoYou can make this (not pressurised though) with inlets, fairings, interstages and/or cargo bays

+1 5.5 years ago@legohelobilly I have to try it myself with different backgrounds and rotating the camera vs rotating the craft
5.5 years agoGreat photos! I tried with some friends but it was so difficult we ended just listening to plane communications xd
5.5 years agoIt may be possible to print them right now using the photogrammetry approach
+1 5.5 years ago@reCarn what is OC? Replica and vanilla are already available. Can you make the suggestions in the poll?
5.5 years ago@CasualCrusade can you try to report it from the game when it happens? Press Esc and click in Report bug

+1 5.5 years ago@DerekSP cool :)

5.5 years agoThis is a known bug related to craft and planet rendering. If you load the craft before the ground mesh it falls into the planet and explodes

Nvidia 920M and I can run it decently in max settings
