i only noticed because i looked at this post twice
since it's a plane, it will steer like a plane
you can make it steer like a rocket by going into the primary command part and change the configuration setting to “Rocket”
i think i found a way to fix it…
since the v=sqrt(GM/r) equation is just finding the square root of the gravity acceleration (GM/r), then i could use earth’s gravity (in game, it’s 1,000…unit is unkown) and then divide that by an unknown number (closest i got was 102) to get 9.8, that way, since i know it works for earth, it must work for any celestial object
and, i assume you know how it falls together
i assume so
create a vizzy program that broadcasts messages to a receiver (the RC craft)
when the RC craft receives a message that tells it to, say, throttle up, it will do so
same for all other controls of the RC craft
also, the camera won't focus on the RC craft, and i don't think putting cameras on the RC craft will work either
imagine a horizontal ellipse, with a star to one of the ellipse's foci
place a vertical line on the star
the points where the line intersects the ellipse is where the right ascension should be
if the planet is orbiting clockwise (relative to the star's north pole), the right ascension will be on the upper point of the line, and vice versa for counterclockwise
the ion engine must be very powerful, roughly enough to travel across the entire system in a short amount of time at full throttle
the spinning can be reduced to a tolerable amount by, for the lack of a better word, flicking the throttle bar to 5% and back down to 0%
well, fuel isn't weightless or massless, and removing some fuel after stage 1 will make the craft lighter and shift its center of mass the editor is calculating the mass/center of mass the exact moment the stage changed, which at that moment you would have probably spent some if not all of the fuel available in that stage
find a way to convert the circumference into a 3D vector (like your craft’s velocity)
then find a way to use that vector to convert it into pitch/yaw/roll
these are just suggestions because frankly i have no idea
i got rickrolled

it's been that way since 2020

try putting an extremely powerful gyroscope or many RCS thrusters
1.7 years agomake sure the thrust to weight ratio (TWR) is above 1
+1 1.7 years agoa TWR less than 1 will result in being not having enough thrust for liftoff

vizzy the name of the programming language you found
