Yes it is possible with file editing.
1. Get the image you want to modify from your photo gallery
2. Modify it in anyway you want (save it with a new name)
3. Place it in your photo gallery folder
4. Go back a folder and open "PhotoLibrary.xml"
5. Copy the last line and paste it again in a new line
6. Change the "name" property to the image you saved (with the new name) name
7. Save and you are done
Note: For thumbnails, the image has to be square.
if you dont know how to edit edit xml, heres how:
select the part
scroll down to tinker panel
click on "Edit Hidden Properties"
use the arrows at the top to get to "FlightProgram"
(i cant remember which property is the run count) so find the property which value is 25
set it to whatever you want
press apply note: the amount of times it runs is dependant on your framerate
since the vizzy code is stored in xml, you could do that. you just need a interpreter to translate python instructions to vizzy xml. and as far as i know, no one has made one
just wondering, are the new menus (such as the menu at the start of the game with new game, load game, etc) going to have updated animations? the snappy transistion doesnt look good
ability to change drood limb attachment points (like changing where the hand would go or legs would sit) even better if the points could be attached to parts so you could move limbs pistons or rotators
with realistic engine plumes jno is going to a whole new level

@TomKerbal one way is to turn off your command pod in flight but that turns off your gyroscope though
