It's a heafty drive for me, but it might be worth it, especially if I can meet some of the staff... @AndrewGarrison how much of the team will be there?

Well Mr SpaceDoge (if in fact that is your real name...) We here take ourselves very seriously when it comes to quality content. I recommend reading our entire library of sacred texts here and for an amalgamation of everything Dev Andrew has said to his faithful users, read this. I'd also recommend reading a few posts by @RailfanEthan and I, particularly the rants. We are trying to create an environment with minimal spam, and these rants are a deeper insight to our falling sanity from the past months. We are trying to achieve this environment through the doot campaign.

i doubt it. They keep mentioning how the time tables keep slipping. I've just learned to check into the site every few days to keep interest, but focus on other things while development on this game is going on the in background. That way, each piece of news is great, no matter how small

@Zi7ar21 haha honestly same. This game is worth $35 + right now with just what we know will be in. I imagine itll be a $50+ worth game once its fully out. And theyre only gonna charge $15ish. Amazing

Yeah... I'm kinda with @Chancey21 on this for this specific subject... However, maybe a comprehensive tutorial on all text mods (bold, link, italics), adding pictures, and other text based things you can do INSIDE a form post?

@Caveman999 you could just make them an unused second stage waiting in orbit?

    +3 6.5 years ago
  • Profile image

clever with the F1 reference @AndrewGarrison :P It also reminded me of the old unused engine sprite from SR. Really impressed with the modeling. Do you guys have any way to accept donations yet?

    +3 6.5 years ago
  • Profile image

@Pikapilot there will be "warping" like in SR1 and KSP, where you can accelerate time on your given path, but there will not be an "instant velocity increase mode" to go anywhere.

    +3 6.6 years ago
  • Profile image

Also, @AndrewGarrison , will we be able to save certain models (single custom formed fuselage parts) that way we can create standardization between space craft?

    +3 6.7 years ago
  • Profile image

@Dizzle2233 Unfortunately large projects like these require several months of development from several developers, and not being able to be payed for all that work really isn't an option. I imagine if you work at it between now and even beta launch, you could scrape the funds together. I believe it starts at $13 at launch? (personally id pay $20+ for this much content) So it's already at a really good price

    +3 6.7 years ago
  • Profile image

Multiplayer will be WAY not fun in SR2 because you will
    - not be able to accelerate time
    - cripple computers with high part counts (something SP doesn't have to worry about)
    - be waiting longer as devs haven't built the game on that platform or be willing to wait as someone makes a mod in their own time for multiplayer.
    Just Saying

Make a uservoice post and let people decide there. Don't pester devs on adding anything that they've already said no to. I too think it's important remembering anyone who's sacrificed themselves for development, but it might not do it justice to make it an Easter egg.

    @Venus Heres what we know
2 - yes, we dont know how customize-able though
4 - I imagine all gas ones will burn like that, but at varying sizes based on engine
8 - probably burn up like SR1 when you get too close
9 - reaction wheels will be built into command pods. Unsure if separate part as well

@MrAspy har har start at zero programming humor. Anyways...
    0 - no
    1 - good question
2 - time warps would be impossible. Not the game they want to make. SE is in space. That's about as far as commonality goes.

You could build a vending machine of boosters up in LEO waiting to be used. Not sure how fuel efficient or economical this would be, not to mention it being a pain to restock the boosters.

@ZeleninIvan multiplayer confirmed not to be added. Programming that stuff is slot harder than you think, and they're on a tight schedule as it is. Also Andrew has said no weapons, as it's an exploration game, however you'll be able to mod them.

I love this idea! However i feel that yes, it might be too much for ingame. Also calculations ingame with all those variables might be too much for the average players' computer to run well. I think the best solution would have an external program generate a part with thrust and efficiency vars (and whatever others ones will be in sr2) from a more complicated set up.

@Irg4you I don't know how much you know about programming, but single player and multiplayer are two very different ballgames. Not only do you run into performance issues like @RockyRoad59 mentioned, and optimizing that is a pain, but you also have to BUILD it in the first place, which requires other experienced workers, and building the right foundation for a game, and a whole list of things.

The devs at jundroo listen, and I imagine they would want to add all the ideas that they see and like. But the truth is that this is a job. People's living comes from this. Time is already against the team, and trying to take on too much could mean more sacrifice from them than they already give.

You don't deserve this game, no one does. These people are putting out an amazing product for an amazing price. Be thankful, not disrespectful.

Sending humans? NASA for sure... BFR still needs to be built and human tested. Considering the dragon capsule has taken years of refinement and testing before being human rated (officially coming this dec) I think it's fair to say NASA is ahead of the curve.

I'm with @Tully2001 on this. I'd say it's safe to say it will be an easier transition from sp to sr2 than most think. Though that's pretty much all based on the fact that we saw a shuttle in promo material and both sr1 and sp also had keyboard controls.

I hope for extensive modding abilities. I would love to build an early system including habitat modules, oxygen (custom kind of fuel for modules), larger command pods, maybe astronaughts (again more as a custom fuel, ie, a statistic you could move around modules) and have more things run off electricity (pistons, rotators) as an added difficulty
