@InfinityTechnology nice, it's cool to see someone build a ship in the newer style from 4 and 5. Personally I'm currently building a warthog based on the one from 5
I don't know exactly what has changed here but I decided to give SR2 a try a couple of weeks ago and really loved the building mechanics, even more than SP's, which I never felt possible. Controllable astronauts are why I'll never go back to SP, as the feeling of being able to build a plane, walk around it, and then actually sit down in your cockpit is amazing. Def use Overload, and there is a connection editor, although it is a bit temperamental.
@Mod oh, yeah sorry, I just linked that cause it showed the missile bays in closer detail than the other blueprints I found. But I completely understand, sorry about that
@SupremeDorian cause I'm trying to make the bays look hollow, and cargo bays don't do that if you already have a block there. The way the bays are supposed to be shaped wouldn't work, even with a full cargo bay
@plane918273645 early American settlers were taught several things on how to survive by the Native Americans, and they then had a large celebratory feast. Today it's both a patriotic and family holiday, and yes much turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing are involved, along with some football
@Insanity yeah but will that actually cause enough drag to slow the aircraft? I guess a better question would be "is it possible to make functional airbrakes?"
@Insanity yeah, the in-flight performance panel (when I click on the engine) has 0 for everything, but in the designer, it has the expected values, with thrust and burn time and everything not being 0
Why would you need to go back farther than the last quick save? What i do for my missions is quick save upon entering earth orbit, then upon entering orbit of whatever planet I'm travelling to.
Now if these spacemen could also walk around on planets, and take control of different vehicles... that would quite possibly be the most amazing and game-changing thing out there
@14ROVI it'd be cool if you could have an option for when a certain key is pressed, the laser would fire at a selected rate of fire.
Anyway, this mod looks great, good luck developing it!
@Kell @pedro16797
Thanks for the tips, I'll most likely set it to some unused AG. I can't use inlets bc they're not hollow all the way through, so for purposes of seeing the interior of the engine (since the covering for it is curved and made up of 3 pieces) inlets don't work
The game does need more tutorials, that's an undeniable fact. I've been playing for a while, and still have absolutely no idea how to work the orbit tools, what they mean, and how to go from planet to planet. Good game, not perfect by any respect, but needs more tutorials
@Generovox nope, not a mod
@Elonmuskjr good luck on your TIE, the T-65 is currently undergoing flight issues, and I haven't been able to play for a while
@Arstotzka damn, that's a shame, that really should be a feature
3.7 years ago@Gen3ralInterstel1ar yeah it's the Pelican, I posted an actual teaser of it as well
+1 3.9 years agoDang, that ONI logo on the bridge looks great!
3.9 years ago@Arstotzka oh it's a troop transport alright
+1 3.9 years ago@Arstotzka you are right that it's a UNSC craft from Halo, but not a Falcon
3.9 years ago@Chtite451SR2 lol star wars is close, but still the wrong franchise
3.9 years ago@InfinityTechnology nice, it's cool to see someone build a ship in the newer style from 4 and 5. Personally I'm currently building a warthog based on the one from 5
+1 4.0 years agowell I've never been more excited for a sr build before, that's for sure.
4.0 years agoAlso, is that a Strident Class heavy frigate in the background?
Stormworks, HALO Mcc, MFS, B02, BOCW, BFII
+1 4.0 years ago@Gio2020ITA yeah, episode 1
4.1 years ago@s5ehfr9 of course, this is just the work in progress
4.1 years ago@Chtite451SR2 good point, I'll do that
4.1 years ago@TestRunner thanks, yeah that did help
+1 4.4 years ago@Ker0 hmm, well I'll make a bug report about that then
4.4 years agohello there
4.4 years agoI don't know exactly what has changed here but I decided to give SR2 a try a couple of weeks ago and really loved the building mechanics, even more than SP's, which I never felt possible. Controllable astronauts are why I'll never go back to SP, as the feeling of being able to build a plane, walk around it, and then actually sit down in your cockpit is amazing. Def use Overload, and there is a connection editor, although it is a bit temperamental.
4.4 years ago@Insanity hmm, interesting, I didn't know that
4.4 years agofuel tanks do exist, the "Fuel Tank" part has a percentage gauge for how filled up with fuel it is
4.5 years agoI had heard of this, but never listened to the broadcast, and frankly, that's one of the coolest, most beautiful moments of the Apollo missions
+1 4.9 years ago@Mod oh, yeah sorry, I just linked that cause it showed the missile bays in closer detail than the other blueprints I found. But I completely understand, sorry about that
5.0 years ago@SupremeDorian yeah I know, but the problem is that I need the hinges of the doors to be on the corners, not halfway down the sides
5.0 years ago@SupremeDorian cause I'm trying to make the bays look hollow, and cargo bays don't do that if you already have a block there. The way the bays are supposed to be shaped wouldn't work, even with a full cargo bay
5.0 years ago@Insanity yeah true
5.0 years ago@Insanity nobody needs to know about temporary absences
5.0 years ago@plane918273645 early American settlers were taught several things on how to survive by the Native Americans, and they then had a large celebratory feast. Today it's both a patriotic and family holiday, and yes much turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing are involved, along with some football
+1 5.0 years ago(exclamation point)[link with the "s" in "https" removed if it's from ingur]
+1 5.0 years ago@Insanity yeah but will that actually cause enough drag to slow the aircraft? I guess a better question would be "is it possible to make functional airbrakes?"
5.0 years ago@Insanity aah, I thought that was the opposite, thanks for the help!
5.1 years ago@Insanity 100% occulsion on all inlets
5.1 years ago@Insanity yeah, the in-flight performance panel (when I click on the engine) has 0 for everything, but in the designer, it has the expected values, with thrust and burn time and everything not being 0
5.1 years ago@plane918273645 oh it is, I set the throttle to 100, even waited like 5 minutes to see if anything would happen
5.1 years agoWhy would you need to go back farther than the last quick save? What i do for my missions is quick save upon entering earth orbit, then upon entering orbit of whatever planet I'm travelling to.
5.1 years ago@Insanity what's aerobraking? Also, so you're saying I need at least 1000 deltaV in my lander to return?
5.1 years agoI've experienced this bug sometimes, I think I fixed it by disabling collisions
5.1 years agoNow if these spacemen could also walk around on planets, and take control of different vehicles... that would quite possibly be the most amazing and game-changing thing out there
+1 5.1 years ago@14ROVI it'd be cool if you could have an option for when a certain key is pressed, the laser would fire at a selected rate of fire.
5.1 years agoAnyway, this mod looks great, good luck developing it!
@14ROVI aah that's cool, is there an option for it to fire when toggled, like a gun, or simply on/off
5.1 years agoAre these like regular lasers or do they have destruction physics?
5.1 years agoEither try changing fuel types or making sure you have fuel lines connecting to the engine, check the "fuel line" option
+1 5.1 years ago@Kell thanks!
5.1 years ago@Bmcclory yep that worked... now onto the next problem, "high" speed shaking (only 200m/s)
5.1 years ago@Portalmaker https://www.simplerockets.com/c/RQIYBW/104-iii
5.1 years ago@Portalmaker well, it's an F-104, so the rear wings are quite higher than the main ones, any chance you could look at it?
5.1 years ago@KitKart nah that's not the problem for sure
5.1 years ago@pedro16797 interesting, I made for sure that I was using inlets, and they had gray capped off ends
5.2 years ago@Kell @pedro16797
5.2 years agoThanks for the tips, I'll most likely set it to some unused AG. I can't use inlets bc they're not hollow all the way through, so for purposes of seeing the interior of the engine (since the covering for it is curved and made up of 3 pieces) inlets don't work
yes
+1 5.2 years agoThe game does need more tutorials, that's an undeniable fact. I've been playing for a while, and still have absolutely no idea how to work the orbit tools, what they mean, and how to go from planet to planet. Good game, not perfect by any respect, but needs more tutorials
+3 5.2 years agoSorta like Kuat Drive Yards in Star Wars? Cool thought but, yeah,
+2 6.0 years agolaggggggggg
@Generovox nope, not a mod
6.0 years ago@Elonmuskjr good luck on your TIE, the T-65 is currently undergoing flight issues, and I haven't been able to play for a while
